Courtesy of Mealtime.org
This quick and easy fruit treat is made even easier by keeping a can of pears right in the freezer. There's no danger
of the can bursting and it makes the pears instantly ready to purée with some juice and soda into a nutritious and delicious
frosty slush. It's ideal when a summer heat blast wilts the little ones and delightful any time you want a refreshing break.
Leftovers can be refrozen and scooped as an Italian ice.

While there are many reasons for teaching kids to cook -- less expensive than eating out, preserves family heritage, etc, the most important
reason is that by teaching your child to cook, you're giving him a better chance to be a healthy grown-up. Enabling your child with the ability
to appreciate freshness and to transform ingredients into tasty foods opens their eyes to making wiser choices about what to eat...
