This week's recipe was submitted to us by 9 year old Cole in Stuart, Florida.
Cole's Mom says, "I think Cole feels proud when he sees his creation come out of the oven!".
Cole's Peppy Pepperoni Pizza
Tools Needed:
pizza pan
spreading knife
can pam cooking spray
Ingredients:
chilled pizza dough from your grocer's bakery
shredded three cheese blend for pizza
sliced pepperoni
pizza sauce from jar
dusting of flour
Instructions:
Cole pre-heats the oven to 350*. He sprays Pam evenly onto the pizza pan and lightly dusts it with flour, tapping
the excess off into the sink. His dough has been removed from the fridge and allowed to rise for an hour and he knead
it with a bit of flour for five minutes and shapes in into the pan. He empties the sauce evening on top of the pie-shaped
dough with the spreading knife. He sprinkles the cheese evenly over the sauce. He adds the pepperoni meat slices.
(Cole prefers the smiley face pattern but feel free to do your own thing.) Bake for 20 minutes at the suggested temp.
Eat and enjoy!
Prep time: 10 min plus 20 to cook
Serves: 4 to 6

Let's Get Cooking!
While there are many reasons for teaching kids to cook -- less expensive than eating out, preserves family heritage, etc, the most important
reason is that by teaching your child to cook, you're giving him a better chance to be a healthy grown-up. Enabling your child with the ability
to appreciate freshness and to transform ingredients into tasty foods opens their eyes to making wiser choices about what to eat...
