This week’s recipe was submitted to us by 10 year old Kayla in Pennsylvania. As you can see, Kayla enjoyed making this recipe for her family. She enjoyed it enough to share it with you! We asked Kayla and her Mom if they had any comments and they said "This was served to guests and they thought they were delicious!" We hope you’ll enjoy making it too!
Meatballs & Sauce
Tools needed:
Measuring cups:
1/2 cup
1 cup
Measuring spoons:
1/8 teaspoon
1/2 teaspoon
1 Tbl
Mixer, can opener, 9x13" pan
Ingredients:
Meatballs:
1 1/2 lb ground beef
1 T minced onion (or 1 onion chopped)
1 egg
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1 cup applesauce
2 cup corn flakes
Sauce:
1/2 cup catsup
1/2 cup water
1 can cream of mushroom soup (or 1 can mushrooms)
Instructions:
Preheat Oven to 325 degrees.
Mix meat well and shape into balls. Place into a 9x13 inch cake pan. Make the sauce by mixing together catsup, water and cream of mushroom soup. Pour sauce over meatballs and bake 1 hour at 325 degrees.
Prep time: 1 hr Serves: 8
