Purifica: An Economical Way to Enjoy Your Drinking Water
by Cindy Sanchez
Cool, clear and safe. That's how we all like our drinking water.
Over the years our family has had access to a variety of water supplies in our various homes. We have had our own personal well, shared a community
well, and connection to public water systems. Due to the quality of our well systems, we became accustomed to using a bottled water service. Afterall,
we really wanted to be sure that the water we were drinking was safe and who could argue that those 5 gallon invertabl;e jugs of water weren't the
best that a spring had to offer?
In our current abode, we are connected to the towns public water supply. Our water is deemed "of excellent quality" and the truth is, it tastes, well,
cool, clear and safe. So, it pains me to admit that I am buying cases of 1/2 liter bottled "purified tap water" for my family. Why? I am not sure...
portablility? it's clearer? safer?
When I was approached by a representative for Purifica to test one of their water purification units, I have
to admit I was skeptical. So I checked out their web site:
"Purifica's patented Puricell purification system which replicates the natural process, removes impurities, heavy metals, chloramine, trihalometanes,
pharmaceuticals, bacteria and normalizes PH to 7.4."
"Purifica then exposes the water to a magnetic field, restructuring the water so the body can easily assimilate it for maximum hydration like no
other water on the planet."
Okay, this sounds different than one of those pitcher/filter units have used in the past. But still...
With our pending vacation to our lake house, and its well water system, I decided to give one of the Purifica Units a test drive. I easily unpacked the
unit along with all of our lake gear, which wasn't so easy to unpack, and set it up alongside the kitchen sink. I resisted the urge to pick up a case
of bottled water on my first run to the grocery store. That resistance was rewarded. What a difference the Purifica unit made in our well water! No more
funky odor, no more cloudiness, no more checking the bottom of the glass to see if any sediment made it past the house filter. The unit lasted our
full two week stay and now sits beside my kitchen sake here at home. My skepticism is gone and my purchases of bottled water has been greatly
diminished.
We have made our first steps in lessening our carbon footprints on our earth, and, maybe even bettering our health in the process.
Check out the Purifica web site for more information about the Purifica system and their products.
