Nell, I hope your DS heals quickly. I hope things are going well at work. Sorry you couldn't get off work.

Cat, I hope things are going well for you too.

Kathy, I wasn't getting any notifications either.

Things are very hectic for me as well. DD and SIL seem like they are back on drugs. They refused to take a drug test so I had to get strict on visitation again. DD refused to extend our guardianship, so we had to hire an attorney and are going to court. I have all the children's medical records. DGD had major surgery in the hospital on her teeth when she was 2 because her teeth were so rotten and DGS had the same, except his were worse. DGS had untreated asthma and allergies. I didn't realize until I printed out pictures that he appeared so sickly before I got him. DGD was 2 years behind on her immunizations and it took me 2 years to get her caught up. Since DD is fighting us and wants her children back, I told her that once I hired an attorney, it would be too late to work things out withing the family. Now, things aren't going well. The children have had some behavior problems and I found out DD was saying bad things about me to DGD over the phone. I confronted DD and told her in the future, I would be listening in on all phone conversations. DGS has been licking his face (to the point his face gets badly chapped), chewing on his shirt, or sucking on his fingers. I know this is a reaction to Mommy acting strange and saying bad things.

The next step is waiting for a court date and letting a judge decide what will happen. I had to not complete this semester of practicum and put my thesis and graduation on hold to fight this. I have a job interview tomorrow morning as a substance abuse counselor at a prison. Right up my alley!!! I pray that I get it. If I don't, I WILL have to find employment elsewhere to pay back my sister-in-law for monies to pay for the attorney. DS came to stay with me. He will probably stay until he finds employment and a place to live. I thought it would be very crowded. However, my wonderful DS has reorganized and cleaned my tiny little place. I think we have more room now than we did before he came!!! He misses his mommy and we've always had a blast together. He is also going to testify on my DH and I's behalf. I will try to keep everyone posted on what is going on. I cannot give the children back, unless court ordered, because I could get arrested for child endangerment if they are hurt and if CPS removes them again, they would not give them to me if they know I will give them back.

Wow DeBora, I've been trying to keep up to date with all the goings on on FC . You are in my thoughts daily and just hope things work out well for you and the DGK's. THat is great your DS is there with you, that will help you out some maybe with the DGK's. Hope he finds a job quick.
Sweetnell, glad your DS is through with the surgery, hope he's not in much pain.
Going shopping soon for another generator as a gift to someone else. This way all the family that we regualrly help at times will have one and when the power goes out they won't loose their food in their freezers and refrigertor either. Seems like lately that happens right after they have stocked up! And their home owners insurance doesn't cover it. SO in the long run this wil lcost us less by doing this ahead of time.
Have a great day!

Hello! Looks like rain will be moving in here late this afternoon. So our almost two weeks without rain will becoming to an end; we've gotten quite a bit done around here preparing for winter, but even still more to do yet.
Meals haven't been too exciting lately as I just haven't had much time to cook! Looking forward to winter days that will allow me time to cook some interesting and new things!
We have two places to go for Thanksgiving holiday this year; one on the day and the other right after it. I need to take a dish to both so am scouring my cookbooks, and recipes for what to take. Since one place is a distance from us I will probably take a cold dish as that will be easier to transport. And of course some homemade dessert to both in addition to a side dish. One has requested homemade iced sugar cookies so that will be easy as I can make them a couple days ahead of time!
Well, I really need to go to bed and ge some sleep! LOL Goodnight all and hope the day is a good one for you all! Please share your day with us!
