How often are you able to eat with your family members?

Since this is National Eat Together Week, how often are you able to eat together with all your family members?

Thumbs up

We sit at our own dinner table and eat 4 nights weekly minimum. On Sunday's we meet my in-laws for lunch and then there are 9 of us together. Sometimes our dinner hour will last 2+ hours because we will be in a discussion or play a game after dinner. It's the most wonderful time every day to share with our 4 girls.

I voted "4+ times per week." Basically because there might be a night when one of the kids is eating at a friend's house. Otherwise, it's every day.

Right now, my DH hasn't been home much for dinner because he is helping his dad who just got out of the hospital. The time we miss him most is dinnertime. In our house, that is just always our time to be together.

I voted never

When the kids were younger, we used to eat together every night. We'd talk about our day, and just have fun talking.

But the mood changed over the years, and I started feeding the kids separately.. My DH was having a lot of emotional issues at the time and taking it out on my younger DD...

But now my older DD is in college, and the younger DD has a busy schedule. My DH works two jobs, and is rarely home at dinner time. So I eat with DD when I can... Some weekends we're all home bur DH eats in front of the TV in our room...

DD mentioned that she misses the family dinners.. I do too. I have the feeling though, that the memories of how it used to be will pale in the reality of what it is..

Growing up we always ate together. My dad would tell us ab out his day, He was a Cop and there were always interesting stories. It's a fond memory of mine..

Maybe a divorce will help! LOLOL..

I voted occasionally since I usually only get to see my DH once a month and that is the only time I get to eat with him.
