View Full Version : Country Fried Steak with Biscuits and Blue Cheese Gravy

Pepper Saute

2 onions, cut into slivers
2 celery, stalks, cut into diagonal half moons
2 red bell peppers, cut into strips
2 yellow bell peppers, cut into strips
1/3 cup olive oil
1 /2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp. pepper


Ranch Gravy

2/3 cups prepared country gravy
1/3 cup blue cheese crumbles


4 country fried steaks, frozen
12 large biscuits
Tabasco hot sauce



To prepare the pepper saute: Saute onions and peppers in oil for 15 minutes or until tender. Season with salt and pepper and keep warm.
To prepare the Ranch Gravy, combine the ingredients in a small saucepan and heat through. Keep warm.
Deep fry steaks according to package directions. Cut into 12 serving size pieces ( I do this before I fry them)
Split each biscuit horizontally and put steak on biscuit bottom and ladle 1/4 cup ranch gravy over steak. Top with 2/3 cup pepper saute and drizzle with 1tsp.tabasco Sauce. Put biscuit top on the side and serve. 12 servings
