2 cup White Lily Self-rising flour
1/3 cup shortening
2/3 c buttermilk
Heat oven to 450 degrees. Lightly grease a baking sheet. Cut the shortening into the flour, and stir in the buttermilk. Mix for about 1 min. Don't overmix. Roll out about 1/2 inch thick. Place on pan and bake for 8 minutes. Makes 12. Brush with melted butter when you take them out of the oven.They will be white on top,like the Cracker Barrel ones.
