6 cups shredded red cabbage
1 tsp lemon juice
1/2 cup boiling water
2 tbsp vinegar
2 tbsp brown sugar
1 tbsp cornstarch
1/2 tsp salt
1 can ( 9oz) pineapple tidbits
1 tbsp butter
1/2 cup coarsely chopped walnuts

Put cabbage, lemon juice and boiling water into a skillet. Cover and cook 10 minutes,stirring occasionally. Combine vinegar, brown sugar, cornstarch and salt. Drain juice from pineapple and blend into cornstarch mixture and add to cabbage with the pineapple bits. Add butter. Cook and stir till mixtuire thickens and bubbles. Garnish with walnuts. 6 servings
