4 slices bacon
1 onion, sliced
6 slics white bread, quartered
1/4 pound Swiss cheese, shredded
4 eggs
2 cups milk
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
Cook acon till crisp and remove from pan. Cook onion in drippings till soft. Spread half of bread in bottom of a 8" square pan. Sprinkle with half of crumbled bacon, onion and cheese. Repeat layers. Combine eggs, milk, salt ands pepper and pour over top layer in pan. You can prepare casserole to this stage in advance and store in refrigerator till 1 hour before serving. Bake
at 350 degrees for 45 - 50 mnutes till set and puffed. Makes 4 servings
