This is like the "Derby Pie", but no one can use that name except Kern's Kitchen because they have a patent on the name, so this is just called Kentucky Chocolate Pie.
1 cup sugar
1 tbsp flour
4 eggs, beaten
1 cup white corn syrup
1 stick melted butter
1 tbsp. bourbon OR 1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup chocolate chips
1/2 cup chopped nuts (pecans or walnuts)
Mix flour and sugar. Beat eggs and add flour and sugar mixture, syrup, butter, chips, nuts and flavoring. Bake 30 - 40 minutes, till set in pie shell. Makes two 9" pies
