Easy Poached Eggs
Ingredients:
Boiling water
1 large egg
1 tablespoon white vinegar
1/2 teaspoon salt
Directions:
1. There's no need for a special pan or fancy equipment to prepare the best poached eggs! Simply bring a quart of water to a full boil in a deep pan.
2. Add 1 tablespoon white vinegar and 1 teaspoon salt. Break an egg into a bowl or saucer. Stir the boiling water in the pan vigorously, round and round the edge of pan, until a whirlpool is formed.
3. Stop stirring and gently slip the cracked egg into the middle of the vortex. Lower the heat and continue to cook until the white is set and the yolk reaches the desired doneness (usually 3 minutes).
4. Remove finished egg with a slotted spoon and keep warm while you prepare additional eggs as needed.
Makes 1 (1-egg) serving.
