Bacon Water Chestnut Wrap

These are a really simple appetizer to make and unusal, but good!

Marinate whole water chestnuts in 1 cup of soy sauce overnight. Wrap each chestnut in 1/2 strip of bacon, sticking a toothpick to hold bacon. Microwave till bacon is crisp. Serve hot.

Catlover, are these the chestnuts that you can buy in a can?

:eek: Those are the ones I have used; I do drain them and towel dry them though before I marinate them so they absorb the marinade better.:D

Here is another unusal appetizer, this recipe came from my Grandmother


Roll into balls about the size of a walnut, cream cheese to which has been added a little juice from canned apricots and chopped pecans. Roll each ball in corn flakes OR rice krispies
