Preheat oven 350. Shape slightly mounded teaspoonfuls of dough into balls.

Place dough balls about 2" apart on ungreased cookie sheets.

Bake 14-16 min or until lightly browned.

Meanwhile, combine remaining 1 c powered sugar & 1/2 c malted milk powder **in medium bowl.

Removed cookies to wire racks; cool 5 min. Roll cookies in powdered sugar mixture.

Roberta, I never thought of using malt in cookies. I also like the idea of dipping them in chocolate. Yum!

These are very chocolately! They taste fine having used the Ovaltine which I had on hand but would be good with the malted milk mix as well. They look like Mexican Wedding cakes, lol, what a shock.

If I use the chocolate malted milk powder, do you think I would still need the cocoa powder, or would just making the chcolate malted milk powder equal to the combined amounts of regular malted milk and cocoa be okay?

The recipe called for both though I used Ovalitine instead of the malted milk because that is what I had on hand. I don't know why you couldn't do without the cocoa, probably wouldn't be as chocolately though.

As soon as I get a bottle of the chocolate malted milk powder I'll let you know (I thought I had a bottle in the pantry, but I don't), thanks!
