Sour Cream Cookies
1/2 t baking soda
1/2 C sour cream
3/4 C butter, softened
1 1/4 C. firmly packed brown sugar
3 eggs 2 C flour
1 t ground cinnamon
1/2 t ground nutmeg
1 C raisins
1 C pecan halves
Dissolve soda in sour sour cream. Set aside. Cream, butter in large mixing bowl. Gradually add brown sugar, beat well. Add eggs and beat well. Combine flour, cinnamon and nutmeg; stir in raisins and pecans to coat well. Add flour mixture and dissolved to creamed mixture stirring thoroughly blended. Drop by teaspoon 2 inches apart onto a greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375˚ for 8-10 minutes. Remove from cookie sheet, cool wire racks. Yields about 8 dozen cookies.
