Hawaiian Pie

1 uncooked pie shell
1 stick butter
2 C. sugar
3 eggs
3 t cornmeal
2 t flour
1/2 C buttermilk
1 small can pineapple tidbits, drained
1/2 C. Coconut

Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time. Mix in cornmeal and flour, mix well. Add buttermilk, pineapple, and coconut. Mix well and pour into pie shell. Cook 1 hour and 20 minutes at 300˚.

Does this come out somewhat like a custard pie does?

I think it is a tad bit different than a custard pie. But, oh I sure love those things too!
