Remove from heat source. Peel banana and cut in half, push a wooden stick into cut ends of banana halves. Spread chcocolate on all sides of banana halves and immedialtely roll in peanuts. I've seen them make this on television. Seems like a good one for children too.

Yes, and you can use your imagination of all sorts of things to roll them in, coconut, mini M&M's, mini chocolate chips, and it just goes on and on.

I think it would be fun to have children decorate these with all these treats too.

Yes, it makes a nice "activity" with the kids;especially really young ones to do in the morning and then you all have a frozen treat in the hot afternoon!

Has anyone else fried plantains?

Had then one time years ago and didn't think a lot of them. I think just because they ewere fried as we don't "fry" much. But I've seen some recipes for them that sound like they might be good. I wonder if you could eat them uncooked? Anyone know?

I don't believe they can be eaten raw.
