8 medium tomatoes
2 pkgs. chopped broccoli
sour cream
bred crumbs
salt
1 envelope onion soup
parmesan cheese

Slice stem ends from tomatoes. Scoop insides out and sprinkle with salt and turn upside down on paper towels to drain. Prepare broccoli. Drain and add onion soup mix and enough sour cream to moisten. Pack broccoli into tomatoes. Sprinkle tops with parmesan cheese and bread crumbs. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. You can also prepare large mushrooms the same way and substitute spinach for the broccoli.

I love tomatoes! There are very few ways in which I do not like them.

We do too! I have twelve tomato plants growing out in the garden. Last week we actually got two grape tomatoes ripened on the vine! That was really early and only two, but they sure tasted good!

My DGD and I fight over Papa's cherry tomatoes. LOL My mother, my DD told me that DGD got upset when she put salt and pepper on her tomatoes, this was because, "Nana doesn't salt and pepper on her tomatoes!" (Yes I do, but we usually eat them right off the vine when she comes to visit. Her mother had to tell her that Nana is who taught her how to put salt and pepper on raw tomatoes. Then it became okay to salt and pepper tomatoes. lol

That is funny, but cute too! Have you started a journal for the grandkids of their cute sayings to give them when they get old enough to appreciate it?

No I haven't, but that is an excellant idea. We always tell and retell stories about the kids so they can't out live these tales. lol
