Do you make a special meal for your family on Sundays? Do you eat at a different time (for example, have your big meal for lunch instead of supper)?

We dont have a special meal on Sunday.
We do usually eat earlier in the day during football and NASCAR seasons (which is pretty much all year now). That is usually one of our pasta days because its something easy to cook or can be made ahead of time and baked so that no one misses the game or race. ;)
My ex-husbands Mom's side of his family cooks a huge Italian meal for dinner after church each Sunday. That was some of the best food that I have ever eaten.

We used to have special meals on Sunday until I started college.
I am like Tami with NASCAR season. I know that if I don't eat early, I'll be too nervous to eat during or after the race.

Our problem is that we run out of time on Sundays. My DH works nights so he usually eats, watches the race and then, if he is lucky, gets a couple of hours of sleep. Im usually busy with laundry and getting my son ready for school for Monday.

It varies on Sundays around here depends on what is going on. But lots of times it is just pretty much snacking or eating left overs (if there is any). I rarely cook on Mothers Day tho' or my B'day . My son told me some years back that Mom's should not have to cook on THEIR days. Gotta love him, hope he is cooking for his wife today. God bless all

We cook sometimes and sometime a sandwish, and other times we go out with church friends.

growing up my mom would fix a big Sunday dinner-sometimes we'd go to a relatives house for dinner and the afternoon-Sunday was always a day to relax with the family, mostly.
Now with my own family we only do the big dinners on holidays or other special occasions.
Growing up it was mostly roasted chicken and all the fixin's, now it's whatever we have handy.

We generally do a big Sunday dinner, at least it's bigger than the rest of the week, and then I recycle the leftovers during the first part of the week. What we have depends on what I find in the meat case and what ever else is on sale.

Since it is only the two of us; we don't plan a big Sunday meal. What we eat and when we eat any longer all depends on what projects we have going and how long we are outside that day. I like to use my crockpot a lot on Sundays because if someone drops in for a visit I don't have a messy kitchen!

We have a slow Cooker section where we can all share our crockpot meals; hope to see some of your crockpot recipes over there!:)
