I just started a low-carb diet 12 days ago. I have been having some shortness of breath when I do minor activities. Have anyone else had any symptoms like this?

It is almost like I'm climbing stairs. I don't really have any other symptoms though.

Thanks!

I didn't experience shortness of breath but I did have really, really bad headaches at first--sugar and carb withdrawls--plus I got achy, flu-like symptoms during the first two weeks of induction. I also had muscle cramps.

I took iron pills, potassium and magnesium + a good multi vitamin.

If you continue having shortness of breath, give a doctor a call to ask what could be causing this. I hope that this passes for you, it worries me to hear that you are experiencing this.

I don't eat sugar very often, but I do love breads, pasta, and rice. LOL I am usually extremely active. Since I started school this summer and I am in this tiny trailer, I am wondering if I get a little out of breath when I become active or get these sudden bouts of energy. My body isn't used to this much "do nothing" time. LOL I wish my professor's grad student would get ahold of me so that I can get the work done so that I can go back home.
