These remind me of a frozen fudge bar; it is a Pillsbury recipe

3/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa
3 cups buttermilk
1 tsp vanilla

In medium bowl, combine sugar and cocoa. Using a whisk beat in buttermilk and vanilla till smooth. Place in ice cream freezer and freeze according to manufacturer's directions for 15 to 20 minutes. Makes 8 (1/2 cup) servings

Per serving: total fat 1 g,saturated fat 0.5 g,5 mg cholesterol, 97 mg sodium

Normally, I can't have sugar or a lot of foods high in carbs anyway. I have hypoglycemia. But, I do sneak a candy bar every now and then. ;)

i once worked with a lady that had that and I remember how she had to watch what she ate and seems she had to eat by certain times also.

That's true. 6 small meals per day. Plus, no sugar and keep the complex carbs down as they turn to sugar. Sugar triggers the pancreous (sp) to turn on, producing insulin. Then, it forgets to turn off. So, if you feel like your blood sugar is dropping and you have hypoglycemia, you don't grab candy or orange juice like diabetics do. You grab protein because the sugars and juice will tell the organ to keep producing more insulin. I don't have problems with mine unless I cheat too much. I can usually get by with it every now and then.
