What better way to cook in the summer first it keeps the house cool, second it dh cooking the main part of the meal , we also put vegs in foil packs and cook them on the grill.

DeBora4BobbyL
06-10-2006, 03:31 PM
I haven't cooked in the foil packs in awhile. I am going to have to do that. I am planning on grilling tomorrow and that would be a good time to do that. It gets soooo HOT in this RV during the summer.

I remember when I knew I was going to have to move to the same town as main campus. The prices for apartments are outrageous! I didn't know about the student housing. So, we decided to have me live in a 5th wheel instead since I'll be moving again withing a year to attend grad school. The problem is, I try doing baking in this tiny oven and I can't get things to turn out the same way. The burners and crockpot seem to be fine. It's just that oven.

Do ya'll do things in your trailer very often?

Sweet, I am so sorry about the lost of your dad. It seems holidays and other celebrations are the hardest when we miss people we have lost.

When those that are close to us starts forgetting through no fault of theirs; that is very hard to adjust too also; I know because my DH has dementia which resulted from a serious car accident six years ago. Just make the best of the time you have with them and it makes it a little easier. Thinking of you!

sweetnell3
06-21-2006, 01:28 PM
Thanks catlover! Dementia is what my mother has plus heart failure. The hardest part is my half-sister & husband lives with her and since dad died my half-sister is even harder to get along with so I try see to mom when their not there. Please pray for me as I am dealing with this one day at a time. I know I cannot deal with this without the Lord .

You most definetly will be in my thoughts. I have some "family" problems dealing with some too so that doesn't make it any easier on you, but just taking one day at a time does seem to help. i know that is what I do lots of times! Keep you in my thoughts!

thank catlover you don't know how much that means to me! Don't really talk to anyone about how hard this is for me,but since I found mm and fc I can feel the support that you'll give each other, it is hard for me to reach out to others for support.

It just I feel so comfortable here at mm & fc ,everyone here are just so friendly.

DeBora4BobbyL
06-21-2006, 07:48 PM
Nell, I have never been at such as place where the group was more like family and sisters. There have been points when I have disagreed with someone and we agreed to disagree and were still friends. I remember when I first joined FC. I became ill and was put in the hospital. I received several get-well cards. It was so sweet.

I'm really don't say much about myself but all of you make it easy. It seems I feel safe with all of you. I also admire you for going to collage.

DeBora4BobbyL
06-22-2006, 12:54 AM
Thank you Nell. It really urks me when ppl make others feel stupid or bad. I think we all have our good and bad points and we shouldn't be in fear of showing the bad parts.

I think everyone is so wonderful here and at FC.

sweetnell3
06-22-2006, 12:57 PM
I feel comfortable here & FC because I'm feel that I can just be myself. Right now I tried to spend as much time as I can with my kids while I can. DD is starting in high school she made danceline, she also is in karate, she goes to young women at our church so she is busy.Ds works,he is also trying to go to collage as he can. They have grown up way to fast.lol

You have one of each gender too? Mine are older though. I've been bored since there is very little school right and and no school until the end of August. MM and FC are great places to kick back and get to know ppl.

We had a older son which we lost to crib death as a infant, then I we had ds2 three years later . Nine years later we were blessed to adopt dd who was a extra blessing. So I guess thats why I' try to be extra close to each child.

DeBora4BobbyL
06-22-2006, 07:03 PM
Sorry for the loss of the child who died of SIDS. That had to be terrifying. They thought my DD had it, but later found out she was severely allergic to polyester. Now, her DS cannot go swimming, wear artificial clothing, and so on because he has one of the most severe cases of exzema the doctor has ever seen.

I think the loss of a child can make us appreciate what he have even more. I just cannot imagine what you went through Nell.

sweetnell3
06-22-2006, 07:12 PM
It really made relazie what blessing children are ,I was in my early twenties at the time. Ds his is very protected of my we are extremely close. Dd and I have a special bond also.
