What appliances do you have in your kitchen?

What could you not live without?

If $$ were no problem, what would you add?

Can I count my ceiling fan as a kitchen appliance? LOL I do';t think I could stand in there and cook as much as I do with out it! We don't have AC.

I doubt it Cat lover, unless you can mix things with it. LOL :p

My favorite kitchen appliances are my Nesco (http://www.nesco.com) roasters. I use them as mini-ovens in the summer (baking brownies in one right now!) as well as slow cookers, "buffet" servers for parties.

Mix master
Stove top and oven
Food processor.

I do have other appliances but these are the ones I"d miss the most

Refrigerator
Gas stove
Dishwasher
Microwave
Toaster
Toaster oven
Coffeemaker

The following I have, but they are stored in a closet off my kitchen to be brought out only when I use them:
Food processor
Bread machine
Kitchenaid stand mixer
George Foreman grill
Blender
Crockpots
Quesadilla grill
Nesco roasters
Electric griddle

The most important are the refrigerator, coffeemaker and toaster. (I'm a real toast fan -- I'd really really miss my toast and coffee.)

Isn't it funny how over the years we collect appliances. I think Oh great I will use this all the time and you do for the first 6mths then the novelty wears off LOL.
I have just started using my bread maker again, I also have crockpot, sandwich press and a cut in half maker, a pie maker, 2 electric fry pans, microwave, 2 food processors - big and little 1 was given to me, a hand held wand mixer, a cappuccino maker (my 40th b-day gift), I said they accumulate LOL

Bilby, you are so right. I didn't even mention the dungeon of ignored appliances in my basement -- I have a sandwich press also, a pie maker, doughnut maker, electric frypan, pizza grill -- I could go on and on. They were all very exciting at first, and I thought I had to have them, but they've since be relegated to the storage shelves in the basement. Sigh!

Same here. I went trhough what I had before we moved and only brought all those small novelty appliances I thought I'd really use. AND I still have one shelf in my pantry with some I haven't used since we moved! I did have plugs put in my pantry though so my counter top oven and my bread machines are used in the pantry and I don't have to bring them out into the kitchen and use up counter space. Best thing we ever did!

Cat lover, what a good idea to have outlets right there so you don't have to move them. I know every time I get my bread machine out, it seems heavier, and what a large footprint it has.

If I ever have a pantry, I'll have to remember your idea. It would sure save steps and counter space.

It is one of the things I am really glad we thought ahead on and did in there. I like it so much more though because I don't have all these small appliances sitting out on the kitchen counter taking up space.

In our old house we had a second kitchen off the family room in the basement so the kids and their friends could cook without messing up the family kitchen. There is where I had all those things at that time, but I had to go down in to the basement. So now it is much easier being right here on the living quarters floor!
