Snicker Cake

If you like the taste of Snickers you're gonna love this cake!

1 chocolate cake mix, prepared as directed
1 (8oz) jar caramel sauce
1 (12 oz) bag chocolate chips
1 cup peanuts

Pour half of cake mix in 9 x 13" pan. Bake 20 minutes at 350 degrees. Pour caramel over cake, sprinkle chocolate chips and peanuts over caramel. Pour remaining batter on top. Bake 10 minutes at 350 degrees and 20 minutes at 250 degrees. Let cool before cutting.

Can you use chocolate frosting on this cake or do you leave the frosting off?

I've never frosted it ,I guess you could, but with the caramel it becomes really sticky and sweet; so you may not want frosting on it.

Thanks I might try it for a family gathering coming up as I happen to like snickers candy.
