Pink Popcorn

I am looking for Pink Popcorn recipe. My husbands Mom used to make big batches of it and we loved it!
If I remember right she used popped popcorn, pink food coloring, half and half (cream/milk) and that is all I remember. It coats the popcorn with a sweet little bit sticky but very good flavor.
If you have this recipe please post it for me.

Pink popcorn


2 c Sugar
½ c Water
1 T Butter
1 t Coloring
½ t Salt
1 1/3 1 ea 1/2 cups popcorn

Spray a large roaster with Pam, after popping corn pour into roaster. set aside. Put the remaining ingredients in a large sauce pan. Boil 3 minutes, timing is very important. Pour over the popped corn and stir with a wooden spoon until the mixture is all mixed in. You have to keep mixing as the sugar will just go to the bottom.

What color and type of food coloring? Are these difficult to make?

Red food coloring, but only a VERY small amount to make it "pink". Just use the liquid food color that comes in the "dropper" style bottles so you don't use too much or you'll have "Red Popcorn"! LOL

Thanks! My DGD loves the color pink. I bet those professional dyes that also come in pink might work too.
