1 pound lean ground beef
1 tbsp oil
1/2 cup onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp oregano
1 tsp thyme
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp black pepper
1/8 tsp cloves
1/2 tsp cumin
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp paprika
1/8 tsp cayenne pepper
3/4 cup beef broth
1 - 15 oz can diced tomatoes
1/3 cup black olives, chopped
3/4 cup raisins
1 small green bell pepper, chopped
1/3 cup slivered almonds, toasted
1 tbsp lime juice

In a large skillet brown ground beef in the oil with onions and garlic. Drain off any fat. Add spices, seasonings, beef broth, tomatoes, olives, and raisins. Simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Stir in green pepper. Cook 10 minutes longer. Add almonds and lime juice. Heat through. Serve over rice.
