The Tomatoes will be ready for his soon! I have several variations I use, but they are all good!
1/2 cup cornmeal
1/4 tsp sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
6 medium green tomatoes, sliced 1/4" thick
about 1/2 cup oil
Combine first 4 ingredients and stir well. Dredge tomatoes in this mixture. Heat oil in a large heavy skillet to around 375 degrees and fry tomatoes till golden brown on both sides. Drain on paper towels. Makes 6 servings
