These are absolutely awesome. I got the recipe here (http://www.kraftfoods.com/kf/recipes/chocolate-peanut-butter-mallow-bars-111424.aspx). I changed it up a tiny bit so here's my version with the name I like to use. a CMP is a chocolate-marshmallow-peanut ice cream sundae that was a local favorite in Scranton, where I went to college.
CMP Brownies
CAKE:
1 box devil's food cake mix
1 stick butter, melted
1/3 cup milk
FILLING:
1/3 cup milk
3/4 cup creamy peanut butter
1 jar (7 oz) marshmallow creme
TOPPING:
1/2 cup peanuts
1/2 cup chocolate chips
Line a 9X13 baking pan with nonstick foil. Preheat oven to 350.
Mix cake mix, butter and milk. Pat about 2/3 of the batter into the bottom of baking pan.
Bake 12 to 14 minutes or until center is just about set. Remove from oven and let cool 3 minutes.
Mix milk and peanut butter together until creamy. Spread on top of the base cake.
Drop marshmallow by spoonfuls on top of the peanut butter. (Don't worry if that's not all smooth.)
Sprinkle peanuts, chocolate chips and the rest of the cake mixture over the top. Press down (this will smooth the marshmallow and allow you to get the toppings close to the edge)
Bake 18 minutes. Cool completely before cutting into bars.
A little goes a long way--these are pretty rich, so cut the bars small.
