Hi all
Looking for a recipe from the Shepperds restaurant in Clearwater Beach, FL. It was a sweetpotato patty thingy. It was so yummy tasted like a dessert to me but was placed with the vegetables on their buffet.

Alice, I found this one on cooks.com
Is that what you were looking for?
1 can mashed sweet potatoes
1 beaten egg
2 tbsp. melted butter
3/4 c. granulated sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
Put sweet potatoes in large mixing bowl. Add remaining ingredients. Mix well. Line cookie sheet with graham cracker crumbs. Drop mixture by tablespoon onto crumbs. Then sprinkle with crumbs. Bake in 400 degree oven 15 minutes. Remove and top each patty with 1 large marshmallow. Return to oven until marshmallow is brown. Makes 12 servings.

Here is another recipe for sweet potato patties. If you have the address or email address of the restaurant they may share their recipe with you. I have run into a few restaurants that will do that. Another thing you might be able to do is if your local newspaper has a food editor they sometimes are able to obtain restaurant recipes also.
3 cups cooked mashed sweet potatoes
1 tbsp melted butter
1/3 cup milk
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp sugar
2 cups crushed corn flakes
Combine sweet potatoes, butter, milk, salt, and sugar. Form into 6 patties and then roll in corn flakes to coat. Place on a greased baking sheet and bake at 325 degrees for 25 minutes. Serves 4 to 6.
