View Full Version : Sneaking in nutrician in bean burritos

I have my grandkids quite often. However, they are used to fast foods and premade frozen foods. They love the pre-made frozen, cheap, bean and cheese burritos. I can make these myself and use vegetarian refried beans and real, cheese. However, I'd like to sneak in something more nutritious than just those 2 things. Any ideas?

You could add some ground flax seed, and maybe some shredded carrots, and small ,small pieces of raw broccoli. Depending on how they would take to those things you may have to go really small amounts at first so they don't notice. Chopped raw mushroons also. With the cheese and beans you're already getting some protein, but to add to that add some cooked rice too. The ammino acids with beans and rice combine to make a complete protein.
