Where will you be spending the Christmas or Hanukkah? Will be helping in the cooking? Will others be helping you? Share with us the details, and of course, those recipes!

DH and I will be spending a regular quiet day and night at home. Both of the DS's will be working so they are not going to be here at all; will be staying in town for the holidays instead of doing the travel time.

We are off to the inlaws who live 5 mins away.
We all bring something, we are taking chicken, rice salad and some sweet nibbles.
Mum will be staying eve and christmas nights going home boxing day. Mum is coming to the inlaws also

We have the 3 Days of Christmas!

On Christmas Eve we start at my in-laws' house for lunch and gifts. Then we move on to the big family reunion at a cousin's house in the same town. Polish food and Santa!

Christmas Day we stay home. Sometimes my in-laws come here and eat dinner with us.

The day after Christmas we go up to my parents' house to see my side of the family.

This year we are having the main meal, dinner at night, at our place I even have it all sorted out. I'm doing meats and salads with everyone else is bringing dessert, nibbles, bread and drinks, 13 in all.
Menu....
Cold roast beef (already cooked, sliced and in the freezer
Roast chicken (2 already cooked and in the freezer
Baby back pork ribs (bought and in the freezer, I will cook on the day)
Twice cooked potatoes and sweet potatoes
Pasta and green salad (beans, snowpeas, pasta and other stuff)
Greek salad
.... and what ever else is brought.

Sounds good Bilby! DH and I will be staying at home again; just the two of us. SInce my "diet" has changed I won't even be doing the baking I used to do for just us two. So will probably end of making something in the crockpot or baking something in the oven that will take awhile; like a small ham or such. Not sure of sides yet either. Really haven't given it much thought yet to be honest! So what are the rest of you cooking for that day?
