FILLING
3 cups coarsely diced apples,unpeeled
1 cup whole cranberries, coarsely chopped
1/3 cup splenda
2 tsp grated orange rind
TOPPING
2/3 cup fine oat bran
1/3 cup all purpose flour
1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
1/4 cup nondiet tub style safflower or corn oil margarine
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. To make filling, spread apples amd cranberries in bottom of an 8: square baking pan. In a small cup stir together the sugar and orange rind. Sprinkle the mixture over the apples and cranberries and stir to coat the fruit. To make the topping, combine oat bran, flour, and brown sugar in a medium size bowl and stir to mix well. Blend in margarine with a fork till mixture is crumbly and the margarine is mixed well. Spread this topping over the fruit. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes or till topping is crisp and fruit is cooked through. Serve warm. Makes 6 servings
