Has anyone every seen a copycat style recipe for Carbquick baking mix? I need to get some of it and can't find it anywhere in a store; only online. So I thought maybe I could make my own! I have all different flours at home as I have been making some low carb breads.

Cat, there was an ISO thread (http://www.momsmenu.com/forums/showthread.php?t=578) for this a while back, with no responses. Have you thought about ordering it online?

That is what I'm trying to avoid! LOL With shipping charges and all I can make it cheaper even with the special ingredients, but I don;t know what and how much. I'm going to search a bit and if I find it I'lll post it, thanks though!

Yeah, I am thinking I have seen it somewhere also, but can,t remember where that was! LOL I have searched online and still can't come up with it, so it must have been further down into a site somewhere that I "happened" upon that recipe. I am still looking though!
I went ahead and ordered two boxes online till I can come up with the recipe. I really didn't want to do that. Several places offer it and most have the usual high shipping charges, but I came across one place that offers it at a lower price AND their shipping charges aren' tall that bad so I went for it.
It will open up many more recipes!
Thanks anyway and if you (or anyone else) do discover it (the copycat recipe) please post it!

Low Carb Master Baking Mix
Diana Goodwin posted this on another list:
I have made a Low Carb master baking mix which I use for muffins, pancakes, etc. as well as hot cereal.
Mix together equal parts of the following:
Almond flour (ground almonds)
Soy protein isolate (or whey protein for those of you who don't eat soy) Flax meal (ground flax seeds)
Wheat bran
Keep this mixture in the freezer in a plastic container.
Atkins bake mix.
BAKE MIX
1 C soy flour
2 C soy protein isolate or wheat protein isolate
2 TBL baking soda
1 tsp salt
2 TBL granular Splenda
Mix well and then sift together. I store mine in the refrigerator and use in the same proportions as any recipe calling for low carb bake mix. I usually use the bake mix as a slight addition in other recipes
3 carbs per 1/2 C.
