Does anyone have a recipe that's close to those Quaker Oatmeal to Go bars? The price for those things is sky-high! There has to be an easy way to make them at home.

Sorry. When my children were small I had all sorts of recipes for what was advertised on television. I hope someone has it because it would be cool to make them for my GKs.

Oatmeal to go bars

I found this recipe online and have not tried it yet, but it does sound good. The only thing I'm not sure about is do you use 1 cup EACH of the vanilla yogurt, and milk? Or is this an either or ingredient? I'm not sure! What do you think?

1/2 cup honey
1 cup Yogurt, Vanilla, Skim Milk
2 egg whites
2 t vanilla
2 t baking soda
1 t cinnamon
6 cup rolled oats
Directions
Pre-heat the oven to 325.Grind about 3 cups of the oats to yield 1 1/2 cups of oat flour. They process well in a mini-chopper.Mix all wet ingredients and fold in dry. Spread into a greased (non-stick spray) 9x13 pan. Bake at 325 for about 30 minutes, or until golden.Cut into 12 squares. Stores best when wrapped well in plastic and stored in the freezer. A quick zap in the microwave or round in the toaster oven makes it a quick meal when rushing out the door in the morning.
Dried fruit can be added also.
