Are you cooking or going out to eat? What do you do special for your children and family for that day?

My children are older so this is the first year I am not dying eggs. Last year nobody wanted to help--teenagers and above. So I decided not to dye eggs at all. I did make pickled eggs for hubby.

I am cooking this year as usual. I am making a turkey instead of ham. The kids really aren't ham eaters. DH said it didn't matter to him. DS even asked for a pumpking pie. So I stil have some frozen pumpkin that I will use for a pie. :)

I did buy my granddaughters dresses and some small gifts. I will be mailing them today. They live in Germany right now.

Most holidays it is just DH and I; both DS's live in another town and both work most weekends so that doesn't leave much time for them to visit. I found a trukey breast in the frezzer in the kitchen the other day and think I will cook that for DH and I. Probably make potato salad and broccoli salad. Will make a cake I'm sure as with warm weather coming down the road we won;t be able to have frosted cakes. We don;t do dyed eggs or even Easter candy any longer ourselves; just us and we don't need the candy! LOL DH can't eat the yolks of the eggs so useless to even fool with dying eggs here.

Would sure be interested in some of your recipes though for Easter. Who knows; I might find something that will make me want to cook something a little different than my usual!

I haven't decided what to do for Easter yet. We have the GKs this week. We got them Easter baskets fillled with goodies. I plan on dying Easter eggs later this week with them before taking them back home on Friday. I am thinking about going to my -in-laws' house for Easter weekend, but I am not sure. I have a ton of homework to do. DH has to work this weekend.
