1lb hamburger
1/4 c chopped onion
2 c diced potatoes
1 c diced celery
1 lb frozen mixed vegetables
3 cups water
2 cans(10 oz) beef broth
1 can(14.5 oz) diced tomatoes, undrained
1 T worcestershire sauce

In dutchoven or large skillet. Cook hamburger and onion to brown and drain. Stir in all remaining ingredients. Heat to boiling. Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 20 min. or until vegetables are tender.

You can also put this in the crockpot and cook on low for 8 hours. To kick it up a notch add 1 or 2 drops of hot sauce.

Sounds good! I'll print this one out for another day as I've already planned potato soup for tonight.

Sounds great! I think ds could even make this,if he moves out he will need easy recipes to make. His friend that he will room with may know how to cook though as he's been in the Air Force for the last five years.

Sweetnell, this would be a good time to start a cookbook for your DS! You know, with recipes for his favorites as well as lots of easy to cook things. I've done this before for the boys and I put them in those plastic sleeves and start a large three ring binder for them. DS#1 even recently asked for some additional things for his; so at least I know he uses it! LOL

Thanks Cat for the idea I just might do that. The other guy has been on his own since getting out of high school so I'm sure he can do some cooking just not sure of how much he does LoL.He is also 24 though ds will be 25 in April.

Have fun with it too! One day it can become something they can treasure from MOM!
