A while back, when I home schooled my children, I noticed many of the programs that were celebrating Black History Month were mentioning Bean Pie. I knew a lot of Soul Food Dishes, but I had never heard of that. So, I went to our minister, who was African-American. He told me the ingredients and I made it. It is pretty good! It has black beans, tomatoes, garlic, sometimes a tiny bit of hamburger, and other goodies. I have it posted here on MM somewhere. I like to make it in February to remember Black History Month.
