Easy Snowman Cake

This cake was made using 2 8-inch pans--one square, one round.

I drew a template for the hat onto a piece of parchment, cut it out, laid it on the square cake and cut around it.

The eyes and mouth were Hershey kisses and the nose was made out of a Starburst candy, warmed up and rolled into the carrot shape. M&Ms decorated the hat.

This is a fun "kids can help" cake that would be great at any wintertime party.

That is such a cute cake! I'm glad that you said what the eyes were made out of, I thought that they were oreos. ;) I love your creativity of using a melted Starbust for the nose! :)

Oreos would work too! Never thought of that. Actually, I didn't have any in the house. Oreos are eaten the second they come in here. LOL! For the candy I used, I raided Luke's Halloween stash :D but I did buy a bag of holiday M&Ms to get enough red and green. What a shame, I have leftover M&Ms to eat. :D
