I'm still low carbing!

Yummy, I haven't talked to you in a good while......how are you doing?

DeBora, I think that you did the right thing by backing off if you weren't really ready. I guilted myself way too much the first time I tried this and that is why I ended up quitting. This time it's different. I'm here to nag you when you decide to start. ROFL!! ;)

I am trying to decide whether to start after the semester ends or wait an see how next semester goes. I have 4 classes next semester including Statistics (graduate level) and bio-psychology. I am not sure how difficult it is for the latter class, but I do know statistics are very difficult. But, I am definitely going back to low-carb. I felt better when I was low-carbing, but it is so hard when I have very little time to plan and I need that comfort food fix at the end of the day (ramen noodles). This school has their graduate level classes late in the evening since their students work full-time and I don't get home until 10:15pm.

DeBora, It sounds like you have a really tough workload. I can surely understand wanting some comfort food at the end of the day.

This semester hasn't been nearly as bad as last semester. But, next semester will include 3 graduate level classes, including statistics and 1 undergraduate level which wasn't offered where I got my BA. So, I will have to take bio-psychology. I don't know whether I will like it or not.

We tried that and it just didn't seem to really work for us. But strict calorie-counting (to a 2000 calorie-a-day maximum), and measuring everything -- and I do mean everything -- has worked wonders. My husband's lost almost 60 pounds, and 25 for me.

Way to go Lisa!

When I low-carbed, I also did proper food combining as much as possible. My jeans are starting to really fit super tight. I now know that between semesters, when I am not under tremendous stress, I need to get back to low-carbing so that I can develop a routine before it all starts again. Next semester I know that at least one of my classes is a real kick in the seat type of class.

Yay Lisa! That's awesome!! Low carb doesn't work for everyone. You've done the right thing be finding out what would work for you and putting every effort into it!!

Keep up the great work!!!

I am hoping to start back to low-carbing after Christmas. I REALLY need to get back on a diet.

Sorry I havent been around in awhile. My mother broke her ankle and has had two surgeries already and isnt walking, yet. I've been taking care of her so I've not had alot of free time.

I gained some of my weight back, but not a huge amount. It was due to al the stress and drama here and trying to cook her her when she will only eat certain things. I just got to tired to always cook differently for me.

I am back on track now though. How are the rest of you doing?

Yummy, I am so sorry about your mom! I hope she heals quickly soon.

I was going to start low-carbing this week, but I got a touch of food poisoning or something. So, I will waiting until need week, when I haven't been vomiting to start my diet.

I'm back to lcing after taking December off. I'm doing ok....nothing great, nothing bad. I'm looking for some different recipes that are also really easy and quick to make for lunch and things like that.

Time to get creative! ;)

Tami, I am right there with you on trying to be creative! I just had my nerve block, but I am hoping that I can start feeling better, get caught up in school, make me some menus and start my diet. I hope I am start this weekend. If I feel too bad, I will start during the work week.
