Caçoila (Portuguese-style shredded meat)
1½ lbs stew meat (beef)
¼ lb blade meat (pork)
1 lb lard (NEVER increase qty)
1 med onion
2 cloves garlic
2 bay leaves
¼ T. *Allspice
1 t. *Paprika
2 t. *red pepper (wet)
1 Avg. can diced tomatoes
½ c. red table wine
*add these according to taste
Mix in crockpot cook on low overnight. Take out bay leaves, shred meat with a potato masher. Serve in Bulkie rolls.
**To make a larger batch: Do not double recipe!
Double meat and increase everything else (except lard) by half.
