4 pounds concord grapes
1/2 cup water
grated rind and juice of 1 orange
grated rind and juice of 1 lemon
1/4 tsp salt
1 1/2 cups seeded raisins
4 cups sugar
1 cup chopped walnuts or pecans

Wash grapes, drain and remove stems. Slip skins from the pulp and reserve. Heat pulp to boiling and rub through a coarse sieve to remove seeds. Add water, grated orange and lemon rinds, salt, and raisins. Cook 15 minutes. Add orange and lemon juices and grape skins. Heat to boiling. Add sugar and cook till conserve is thick, stirring frequently to prevent scorching. Add nuts suring last few minutes of cooking. Pour into hot sterilized jely glasses and cover at once with 1/8" hot paraffin. Makes 12 6 oz glasses.

This is a very spreadable conserve!
