3/4 cup cherry juice(from canned cherries)
1/2 cup sugar
1/8 tsp salt
1 1/2 tsp cornstarch
1/4 cup drained pitted red sour cherries
1 tbsp butter
1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
Stir cherry juice into a mixture of sugar, salt, and cornstarch. Cook over low heat about 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Add cherries, butter, and lemon juice. Sere hot. Makes 1 cup sauce.
