I love chocolate--especially dark chocolate!!
I will taste just about anything covered in chocolate--I draw the line at bugs and gross stuff like that! EEEWW!
One of my favorites has to be choc. covered Macadamia nut clusters. OH MY!!!
Peanut butter meltaways are close behind.
Anyone else share my passion for chocolate?

Oh, Chocolate! Any kind fixed almost any way! Dark chocolate is good, but the only dark chocolate I've found I really can eat too much of is Russell Stover's; especially the creams.
Hershey bars are about the best; especially dipped in peanut butter! I've been known to even open a can of frosting Dark Chocolate Fudge and eat it by the spoonfuls!
I make a choco -holic cake that is to die for!

Good thing nobody had caught a picture yet of me doing that; but then again it would make a good picture for the refrigerator of "what not to be doing!" LOL:D

Did someone mention "chocolate"? When I was pregnant with my first child, my doctor told me I was gaining too much weight. I remarked to my mother that after the baby was born I was going to eat all the chocolate cake I wanted. After the birth, my Mom shows up at the hospital with an entire all-chocolate cake. Every evening, I would have a piece of chocolate cake and a cup of coffee. I don't think I've ever met a chocolate I didn't like. hahaha

I love chocolate, especially dark chocolate made by dove. I can't eat a lot of it [diabetic] but I can smell it anytime I want too. My husband says I am the worlds worse diabetic. But I don't eat it, I just smell it and talk about it all the time!

Fish3711 just wondering; does any of the sugar free chocolate really fill the bill? I've started to buy some for myself especially the Russell Stover, but haven't yet because I was afraid it would be nasty.
Since I'm allergic to chocolate I can only indulge every so often. Like once every 3-4 months. If I happen to crave it I'll eat my favorite WHATCHAMACALLIT bar. So many people can't believe that I don't crave chocolate all the time.

Coll, I haven't seen a WHATAMACALLIT in a long time. There are sites that sell retro candy. Those are cool too.

When I was a kid I couldn't eat chocolate either for the same reason. After I married I didn't seem to have a problem with it. Always wondered if I was just told that to keep me from eating it. My grandmother used to buy Hershey bars by the box full ( I think now that box contains 36 or so; don't know if it was any less than or not), and we'd each have several every night! So I "developed" an allergy I was told! I also love most chocolates, dark chocolate most of all.
Has anyone tried the new white chocolate M&M's?? They're pretty good - got hooked on good white chocolate when I was a kid and my best friend brought some back from NY

I am with you Joyann! It isn't chocolate unless you get that euphoric buzz! ;) I believe that white chocolate is made with cocoa butter or the fat from chocolate. I think the Food and Drug admin agrees with us too--that it is not a chocolate! LOL

white chocolate is chocolate before the cocoa is added for color and flavoring-almost, but not quite like white american cheese is american cheese without the yellow coloring-supposedly tastes the same, but I think there's a difference myself.
White chocolate is usually creamier and melts easier too.
White chocolate M&M's recently came out, along with Gem Color M&M's-they're promoting an M&M Treasure Hunt and there is a contest for it at the M&M website. I never did get any of the dark chocolate M&M's. I'll have to look for them again.

Does anybody remember the M&Ms promotion in which they made the M&Ms non-colored? I cannot remember what it was all about. I do remember Elliot Sadler's M&M race car all black and white!

Hey white, milk or dark. I am NOT fussy. I love chocolate, but maybe that is why I am feeling not great at the moment. We have had fundraising chocs in the house for three weeks now! Maybe they don't come in different flavour just so as I can call each one a meal replacement !!LOL

LOL Meg. I don't remember where I saw it, but somewhere it says that chocolate is a food group! LOL
megray
05-30-2006, 07:06 AM
mAYBE THIS IS WHAT YOU WERE THINKING OF dEbORA!! Sorry, caps lock off now!
Chocolate, the 5th food group
Chocolate is a vegetable: Chocolate is derived from cocoa beans. Beans = vegetable.
Sugar is derived from either sugar CANE or sugar BEETS. Both are plants, which places them in the vegetable category. Thus, chocolate is a vegetable.
To go one step further, chocolate candy bars also contain milk, which is dairy. So candy bars are a health food.
Chocolate covered raisins, cherries, orange slices and strawberries all count as fruit, so eat as many as you want.
If you've got melted chocolate all over your hands, you're eating it too slowly.
The problem: how to get 2 pounds of chocolate home from the store in a hot car. The solution: eat it in the parking lot.
Diet tip: eat a chocolate bar before each meal. It'll take the edge off your appetite, and you'll eat less.
If I eat equal amounts of dark chocolate and white chocolate, is that a balanced diet? Don't they actually counteract each other?
Chocolate has many preservatives. Preservatives make you look younger.
Put "eat chocolate" at the top of your list of things to do today. That way, at least you'll get one thing done.
A nice box of chocolates can provide your total daily intake of calories in one place. Now, isn't that handy?
If not for chocolate, there would be no need for control top pantyhose. An entire garment industry would be devastated. You can't let that happen, can you?

Some signs you may be a chocoholic!
Do you think Hershey should be a Patron Saint?
Do you think Carob is a Communist Plot?
Forget "career vs. relationship"; for you is a major decision having to choose between white and dark, milk and bittersweet, with almonds and without?
Do you look at vanilla as somebody's idea of a joke?
Would you campaign to have Nestle's birthday declared a national holiday?
Has an M & M never had enough time to melt in your hands?
Is your most frequent form of daily exercise prying the lid from a container of Häagen-Dazs chocolate chocolate chip?
Have you ever eaten an entire box of still-frozen brownies because you were unable to wait long enough for them to thaw?
Is your ulterior motive for visiting sick friends to pick through the boxes of candies they received?
Is your idea of foreplay a bag of Hershey's Kisses?
