On the 30th, I plan to start a low-carb diet. However, my schedule during school is HECTIC. I would like things to snack on as well as breakfast, lunch, and dinner ideas. I don't eat sugar, so I don't worry about missing that. I would like to know how I can do a low-carb diet and be able to take a lunch to school as well as have my snacks.

Also, I LOVE conforting soup, especially during stressful times.

Any ideas?

One of the easiest ways to low carb is to eat 6 small meals/snacks instead of 3 big ones. Even if you want to eat the 3 regular meals, you still need to snack to keep your energy up.

I'm starting back on LCing on June 1 so we can do this together!!

I have a lot of info. ( if I can find where I hid it in my computer. ;)). If not, I will look it all up again.

When I did this 2 years ago, I followed the Atkins inductions for 1 month and then went on to my own LC plan. The hardest part is the first week. Getting over the headaches from having no sugar was the worst but once my body got over that, I started to gain so much energy!!

I will post some of my stuff after my move. I should be back here by this weekend (fingers crossed that all works out!!!)

Today is the day that I start my low-carb diet. I think the most difficult thing for me is low-carbing it when I am running form class to class or because I only have a shrt period of time between classes. I am trying to find some ways to make low-carb lunches that I can pack in my little ice chest.

I'd appreciate any ideas that others can share.

How's the low carbing going?

I was fully planning on starting this week too but due to money restrictions, I have to put it off to hopefully next week.

I started craving carbs yesterday. But, so far so good. Tomorrow is when I officially start summer school, so I'll know then how I'll be able to handle it. It will get really difficult in the fall. That is when things get harried with classes, studying, and tutoring. I am trying to come up with low-carb foods that I can pack in my ice chest or thermos.

I will work on some ideas for you.

Are you looking for soups and "sandwiches"?

If you stay on this, by the fall, you will not even need the bad carbs to keep you going!!

Hang in there. Once you get past 'hell' week, you should be ok!!

Thanks! That's why I chose to start this in the summer rather than in the spring or fall when school is hectic.

I am pretty easy on what I want. When I am "living at school" I need things that I can eat with my hands or a spoon rather than something that needs a big plate and a knife, fork, and a napkin. Soups are good because I do have a thermos that I can bring to school in my lunch box or cold things that I can bring in my ice chest.I appreciate any and all ideas and recipes you can share!
