We go camping with friends when we can. The last time we went, we had ziplock omlettes. Has anyone else had them?

Basically you put your eggs (how many ever you want) and put them in the ziploc bag (any zipped bag would work). Then you add what you want in your omlette - ham, onions, cheese, peppers, seasoning, etc.

Next you "knead" the ingredients to mix them and then place the whole bag in boiling water. You let them cook for 8-11 minutes, or longer if you have a lot of extras. ;)

The nice thing about these is that everyone can fix their omlette with what they want, you only have the pan for boiling the water (which should still be clean since it was boiled and only had water in it) and the dishes you ate off of to clean.

It's really great for the day you're packing up to go home. You can use disposable plates and silverwear to avoid having more to wash, the pan should be clean, so it just has to cool before you pack it away.

Those are great! Only thing I can add to it is don't use the "cheap" bags! The heavier ones work much better in the boiling water!~

Oh yeah, I use a lot of paper plates and plastic wear when I go camping. I am on vacation too, right? lol

I was going to ask this very question. TY for answering it beforehand!

I think that this would be great to use once in a while to get your kids involved at home too.

My son wont touch eggs but my daughter likes scrambled eggs.

Cool! :)
