This is an oldie but a goodie!
Rice Krispie Marshmallow Bars
¼ cup butter (1/2 stick)
6-10 oz marshmallows (about 40) or 4 cups miniatures
6 cups Rice Krispie Cereal
Melt butter in a3-quart saucepan. Add marshmallow and cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until marshmallows are melted and mixture is syrupy. Remove from heat. Add Rice Krispies and stir until well coated. Press mixture and spread evenly into a buttered 9x13” pan. Cut into squares when cool. Makes 24 2-inch squares.

I've seen them with M&Ms. Does the hot marshmellow not melt them?

No I think it is because of the hard candy shell on them.

Is that because they melt in your mouth and not in your hand? :D LOL Sorry, I couldn't resist!

I like to add peanut butter into the recipe. Ummmm, chocolate AND peanut butter, just might have to try them that way! Thanks for the chocolate idea!

These are marhmallows made with the toasted coconut on them ,they are made by Kraft company. I was raised on them as my grandmother loved to eat them. I bought mine at Wal-mart.

My misunderstanding. I thought you could buy just the toasted coconut! I LOVE toasted coconut. But, I didn't know there was toasted coconut marshmellows either.

You mght be able to toast coconut in the oven and just add it to the krispie mixture when you make it.

My husband doesnt like p-nut butter in most things either. If he does eat it, it would be my natural pb on celery.

Peanut Butter is GOOOOOD on celery! Don't know why, but I've been on a real peanut butter kick lately. Good thing I'm too old to suspect PG! LOL
I've even been known to eat a spoonful of it lately! LOL

Cat lover, all I can say is, "Ewwww." :D You sound like my FIL. He likes PB on his ice cream, all by itself, and on everything else! LOL Of course, we excuse him because he is from LA! ;)

I was in the grocery today and looked at some peanut butter. They had three kinds I have not seen before; I only remember two though. One was peanut butter with white chocolate and the other was peanut butter with dark chocolate. Do you think you might like those? LOL;)

It HAS been a long time since I bought PB! I will have to see these PBs with white chocolate and dark chocolate. I get stuff like that for my GKs. However, I still won't like it. I won't even eat those Reese's PB Cups. LOL I know, I am strange! LOL
