What is your favorite pasta topping?

We LOVE pasta at our house. I think that the overall favorite topping would be red sauce, although I like so many different toppings too!

What is your favorite topping(s) for your pasta?

I like my regular meat sauce, but I can never resist a good marinara! I don't even have to have meat with the meal if the marinara is good.

If I could only choose one thing to put on pasta, it would be marinara! However, my philosophy is, "What isn't good on pasta?" Of course, everything is good on pasta, including pasta! lol

My favorite is olive oil, garlic, some sauteed brocolli rabe and sausage. I used to love red sauce but now find it too heavy for eating too often.

I am a big pasta fan so I would have to say that I would take all of the above except for Seafood toppings. Iam not a big fan of those.

I love just a basic fettucine sauce on pasta. Cream, butter, parmesan and asaigo cheeses and you've got something awesome.

My all time favorite would have to be chicken alfredo. I just love that stuff. But to be honest I love all kinds of pasta. It is one of my main downfalls.

have to agree with many others! Reg Red Pasta Sauce. There are sooo many flavors available and so many things you can add into it as well!

Now Im not quite sure I know the difference so can you please tell me, What is Marinara sauce? I mean I have ate it with side dishes (cheese sticks) but what is it exactly? Ive kinda always thought oi fit as the same as spagg sauce

My favorite sauce for pasta is my homemade spaghetti sauce (which we eat on all kinds of pasta including cheese ravioli) but we also love pesto sauce and vodka sauce on pasta as well.

My most favorite is Pesto..I always have the ingredients on hand, and you can adjust it to your own liking. I have used basil or parsley..whatever is fresher...sometimes I add both.

3-4 cloves garlic, peeled
3 large sprigs basil, approx 2 cups leaves
pine nuts, approx 1/4 cup
Parmesan cheese, grated1/4 cup
Romano cheese, 2 Tbs.
virgin olive oil, approx 1/8 cup
Butter 3 TBS.
freshly ground black pepper

If you use a mortar & pestle, the pesto is smoother..but I use my food processor. You can also freeze it.


Marina Sauce is made with tomatoes that are crushed and all juices are added..think of it as a sauce that is not so dense, as red gravy..it is light with oregano added.

Since I am allergic to tomatoes I never really acquired a taste for red sauces. I can't have the red sauce more than once or twice a month that includes being on pizza or I break out and itch to high heaven.
My favorite way to eat pasta is with butter and salt. My little one likes to eat it that way to, she likes to play Lady and the Tramp with buttered spaghetti. We giggle like crazy when we have it for lunch.

Not a big pasta eater, but when I do eat it, it only with the red sauce. I do like the different kinds, saugage/mushroom, and the other flavors too.
I also like to take two cans of the red sauce and mixed them together to come out with a different flavor..
