I thought that since the first coffee chat was getting so long, it is time to start a new thread.
What is everyone doing this spring and summer?
I am planning on graduating with my BA in psychology next month. I will find out this week, hopefully, whether or not I will get an assistantship at Abilene Christian University and thus know whether or not I will be attending there. That means I will also be moving before August to whatever school I will be attending. I will be moving my RV back home to get it ready next month too.
I hope everyone has had an excellant Easter!

Good Morning Ladies! We had a great Easter, church was great it was packed for the main service we did have quite a few left after the main service as we have it first then sunday school. Anyway what we do this summer depends if dh gets a job in mangement, but if he does then we'll be moving .Hopefully we'll know something this week.Audrey has a youth meeting in June,if we are still here in the first week of august is girls camp.I do know I need to go through & get rid of a bunch of stuff that'll take a while. Hope everyone has a great day!

Thanks for making the new spot DeBora! DH and I are at DS#1's for awhile today and I'm on his computer so things area alittle different! LOL They are having their half bath totally redone including the walls and they didn't get done last week and DS had to be back at work today. So we are here while the workers finish.
DH and I aren't planning anything special this year at all. Just enjoy the land and the quietness at home in the woods. Ds # 1 and his family may stay in the cabin in the woods some this summer as they will not be taking any big trips this year due to the bathroom remodeling. DS#2; I'm not sure if they will come up and stay or not;I don't think his wife is a camper!
Well guess I'd better get going; I brought some crossstitch with me and I can sit all day and work on it because here there isn't anything else I should be doing! LOL
Have a good day all!

Hey Everyone,
I am so proud of myself. I was over the Easter program yesterday for the youth at our church and we did the play Champion by Carman. It went so well that everyone said that it was the best program that we had ever had. I was so excited.
[SIZE="3"]We are playing the spring and summer by ear. So much depends on my physical condition. I am hoping to be off crutches, at least down to a cane so we can travel more. This cold weather set me back a bit. We are hoping to travel a lot this coming year. I'll have to buy a laptop for sure.[/SIZE;)

Nell, maybe you'll find out your news about moving about the same time I will hopefully find out about mine. The university was supposed to make a decision last week. So, I am hoping to hear something soon.
Cat, I hope you had a blast at your DSs house!
Gabsmom, congratulations on the program! I am glad that your Easter went so well.
Cau, I hope you get off your crutches and get a laptop. They are so convenient!
Well, today, as well as Tuesday and Wednesday are so long! My lab professor thought I had signed up to participate in an EEG experiment and told me that my brain was too old! Can you believe it? He told me that the cut-off age is 35. I don't plan on ever participating in an EEG experiment due to the scar tissue in my head. I told him that I was a subject in a different experiment. I sure hate it when he has a dozen deadlines to meet! Nobody can get along with him. He also changed the lab meeting twice because he has to go the the Mind Institute later in the week. I may also be participating in an eye tracking experiment in a different lab later in the week. They are having difficulties getting participants. I think because they have to set tiny little cameras near the eyes and it takes 2 hours. So, I agreed.
I hope everyone is having a great week. I am waiting for my last cream cheese braid to come out of the oven so I can go to bed!

Gabsmom, congrats on a job well done!
My Big Kids will finish school in mid-June. Big DS and DH will head to Virginia for a week of Boy Scout camp just after the fourth of July. Those are the only definite plans we have for summer so far! Generally we "fly by the seat of our pants" for summer plans.

I'm going to spend the summer relaxing, as much as is possible with two boys that want to go, go, go all the time. LOL I'm also hoping that I'll be able to declutter my living room. We have entirely too many boxes of books. Time to sell some on ebay, I think. :)

First off summer has got to get here. I am beginning to think it is never coming. I really as of yet don't have a whole lot planned. Going camping and canoing and then hitting the amusement parks.

Actually, you guys can talk about what you are doing this spring, which is already here, as well.
I am waiting for my DH to arrive. I am hoping he won't be too tired to go out to eat as I need to get out of the house and not cook. lol I am still waiting on word concerning my assistantship. I have finally emailed them since the deadline to accept at the other school is approaching at the end of this week.
I hope everyone's week is going well thus far.

Hi all. Well, I know what I'll be doing this spring and summer, settling in my new home in Pennsylvania!
I have a week and a half left of work here, then a week of packing and moving (ugh!) and will be in Pennsylvania by the end of the month.
WOW!

Confederate Land -- LOL! I'm sure they will have fun. They went to this same camp 2 years ago. I think that Big DS is doing the High Adventure program which includes whitewater rafting, mountain biking and other scary stuff like that. The kind of stuff you don't tell your mom about until you are back home safe and sound with no casts on

I'm sure your DS's will have fun at scout camp! I was always one of the assistant scoumasters to get to go! And I had fun too! It was interesting as when I got into it I was one of the first females so no plan for women there. But I got a trusted man to guard the shower house when I went--usually late at night when all those boys were supposed to be in camp and in tents! LOL
Cold here again 51 degrees and we can't use our wood stove so it is 59 degrees inside! Have to order a few new parts and get the flue and chimney cleaned, smoke is backing up! Hats on, double shirts, socks and shoes! Lots of warm coffee and I'm making stew, and soup to eat the next few days! DH said let's go sleep in the greenhouse; it has heat! LOL
Nothing else new going on here; at least at his minute! LOL
Lizzie-boo; good luck on all that packing! Have a good day all!

Audrey was told last night at karate by the teacher that she will be tested for her black belt here pretty soon.Anyway ds & I will be going out to eat tomorrow for a early birthday meal a day early as he has to work on his birthday Friday, he will be 24.Saturday is dh & I will celebrate 31 years of married life .No plans for Saturday yet like to talk dh unto going out to eat as Audrey will be gone to a church active & dance. Barb, some things are better for mothers to not know until after they are over! lol
Nell, I bet the wait is killing you! I know it is me! I emailed my school last night and told them that the deadline for other schools is fast approaching and if they could give me some type of answer so that I could make plans. (The deadline to accept schools is April 15th.) Good luck! Let us know as soon as you find out! Maybe we'll be closer neighbors soon. Wow! Congrats on the anniversary! Wish your DS a happy birthday! Wish Audrey good luck on her black belt! I know she will do well as she seems to love it so much.
Lizzie, good luck with the move. I know I hate moving. I wish I had a week and a half. lol Keep us posted on how it is going.
Cat, sorry it is so cold there. It is very warm and very windy here. The sky is brown in NM. lol I hope it warms up soon.
Well, I am in a hurry. I haven't been home from school long. I was in Anthony until 12:30pm, then went to the lab at 3:30pm, got stood up by a student that I tutor at 3:30pm so I dropped her as a student. I don't keep students on the books if they keep missing appointments. I got a lot of compliments from work in Anthony, which felt good. The professor at my meeting wants me to do some pretty complicated stuff on the program that I am writing for him. He has faith in my, but my brain hurts! Then, I had class tonight. DH goes back to Carlsbad tomorrow. So, I am going to enjoy time with him tomorrow before we both get busy again! Have a great evening and day tomorrow!

Cold here and getting colder so I drug out the old kerosene heater and have it sitting on the stone the wood stove sits on and tuirned it on at 9 this morning. I figure with all high ceilings it will take all day to warm up in here; will turn it off though when we go to bed. The house will retain the heat over night and then I'll start it back up tomorrow morning. b Ordered the parts fo the stove and they will be in next week, but can't get the flue cleaned for several weeks so no more using the wood stove this season at all! Hopefully I can just use up the kerosene I have and not have to buy more of that either.
Put on a pot of beef stew using just 1/2 pound of beef so not too much for DH; jus enough to give it the flavor. Lots of veggies and I'll fix some cornbread with it.
DH has a bad cold so been feeding him chicken soup all day so he'll be ready for a change for supper.
I worked on another cross stitch picture for myself earlier today a bit. Have to go down and get the mail yet and then feed and water all the animals yet. After that I'm staying inside tonight!
Have a good day!

Hello Ladies! Cat wish I could send some of our weather your way as we've been having temps in the 70's , but we are to get storms tomorrow & a little cooler. Hope your dh gets over his cold soon. Audrey gets to dress in her trek clothes for a active & dance that the church youth will have Saturday.Audrey has karate tonight so have to go to town later as I don't want her to miss any classes as they told her she will be testing soon for her black belt also at some piont they are going to honor one of the teachers who got Pals started in Paris as he's had to retire because of his health. He was really a big help to her when we loss my dad three years ago as was his wife. Anyway they want to test her before we have to move & also she has been a big help as a teacher as she has help teach the lower belts as the need has arose. Hope everyone is having a great day!

Need to get to work down in the garage and go through some totes and organize them better. Really need to condense some of my sewing ones! LOL
DH is living on chicken soup mostly, but starting to sound like maybe the cold is on he mend. He still doesn't seem to feel very well and I'm taking extra medicine so it won't settle in my lungs if I get it.

Sweetnell, hope Audrey gets to feeling better soon! I wouldn't know what to do if DH and I did anything for our anniversary, we usually just let the day pass like any other ole day around here. So if you get a chance to go eat I'd go for it! LOL
We still have the kerosene heater going, DH still isn't feeling any better and I'm sure our jaunt yesterday didn't make him feel any better; thought the getting up and out would help, but it didn't.
The place I ordered the wood stove parts from called but they close at 4 today and aren't open tomorrow so it will be Tuesday before I can pick them up. I have a box of stuff for thrift store in the same town and they are closed on Monday so will wait till Tuesday to go. No fun droppig things off when I can't go in and see what bargins I can find to bring home! LOL
DeBora, hope your school choice decision is coming about! You must be a very strong person, new school and having to find a new place to live and all! I don't think I could handle all that change any more--- you go girl!

Hard to believe spring is here when right now we are getting hit with another snow storm. For spring this year I am taking over the vegetable garden from dh. I want to plant peas, green beans, lettuce, tomatoes, and green peppers. He was good at planting but not weeding or harvesting so this year I have decided to give it a shot myself - he can still do the strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, grapes etc. This summer ds1 is volunteering at our church summer camp for a week and ds2 will be attending swim camp there the same week (it is an over night camp so i will be almost kid free for a week other than my dc kids), We will spend a few weekends at our summer cottage and our camp in Bethel, Maine and in August have two weeks vacation at our summer cottage (which is on an island in Maine) and do day trips from there (the ocean, Freeport, Portland etc.) I am so looking forward to warmer weather and the chance to be outside. I am starting with my walking group again this May and also hope to do some hiking in the mountains. We are also going white water rafting again on the weekend of June 17. I get scared just thinking about it. I had a blast last year so have to keep reminding myself of that!

Tomorrow is one of THE longest days of the week for me. DH is coming down tonight so we are going out to breakfast in the morning. It is the only time we have to be together during the one day he has here this week. I have an hour and a half between classes, but that doesn't include driving time. DeBora, hope your long day today goes well for you and gets over as you want it to go! Not much more time till you have some free time, maybe.
Sweetnell, DH is on the road to feeling better slightly; he still isn't sleeping well so taking naps; which either lets me get in a nap too or paly on the computer longer! LOL I think I may be coming down with something now though; yuck!
have to go out andturn the heat off in the greenhouse, and feed and water everyone, but need to get my butt in gear and get dressed first! LOL
Have a good day al!
Okay, since it is cold here, Spring will be spent indoors. We also have dance classes, soccer practice, volleyball practice, girl scouts and lots of Spring cleaning to do. Summer will be hopefully growing a small garden. And tending to my roses if they ever get a chance to warm up this year and bloom.
Maybe we'll take a road trip into the mountains. Not counting on that though.

Okay people, what can we do to get rid of the cold or cool weather? lol

I didn't actually see the driver but they were taken pictures with the fans when ds & I went by they had a little girl standing by the car taking her picture. I knew you would be the one person who would know who it was LoL.Audrey was wore out as she was asleep by 6;30 tonight. Ds brought home a birthday cake that they had given him at work ,there was almost half left over. The manger that gets the cakes didn't work until tonight so thats why he didn't get on his birthday. There was 3 more cakes there but the ones that they were for didn't work tonight so they'll have cake for the next few days LoL. Nell, the media was saying once when we were in Texas that diehard fans are easy to spot. Just name a car number or a sponsor and they can list the driver and the crew members' names. lol I think I have a bit of a problem. lol You probably had pizza on your mind and that was more important than seeing Ryan. lol
Cat, I am glad that your DH is feeling better. My DH came down with a cold as well as one of my teachers. I sure hope I don't get them! Have fun running errands tomorrow.
My week will peak tomorrow and it won't be as bad as Mondays and Tuesdays. I work in Anthony until 12:30 pm. It takes me 30 minutes to drive back to Cruces and then I work in the lab until about 3:30pm. Then, I have class at 6pm. Hello! Had a friend I used to work with come up and visit yesterday; she brought me three paw-paw trees she dug up from her yard. Now I need to plant them Sunday as everyday next week we have a very good chance of rain according to the weather reports. I've got them in the greenhouse right now trying to recover from being dug up before Iplant them.
Have to take all the recycle items to the center today, get DH's lotto ticket, and pick up some dog food. Also going to pick up newspapers a lady keeps for me and drop her off some fresh eggs.
Going to DS#2 house tomorrow in Louisville to help him with some construction he is doing. I think he just wants our opinion, not the actual help.

I hope everyone had a good weekend. Mine was terrific. My Bobby came in 8th in the race and gained 4 positions in the championship standings. Today was tough in the I worked in the research lab and had a lot of things to do here. But, I am glad to be home and I am finally getting to relax before I get to studying.

So glad you've had a good weekend.Cat hope all is well with you. We've had light rain off & on all afternoon but not not enough so maybe it'll rain harder tonight. We got great news at church today as our church was approved to be enlarge as we have got to where we are having around 140 attendance on a regular basis, but we may not be here to see the work won't start to 2008. Hope you have a great night!

Busy day today; worked in the greenhouse, got some things planted in pots outdoors, and got to hang all the wash outside today. Suposedto have big chances of rain all week except for one day. If we do I mighjt be able to get started on some sorting I want to do in the garage.
Fixed General Tso's chicken, a rice side dish and a tossed salad for supper tonight. A little warm right. But that might be because I just came in from chasing something out in the woods that had all the birds and the dogs excited. I never did see or anything tonight so not sure what it was; so didn't have to shoot at anything tonight! LOL If we get that rain it should be quiet as far as "visitors" during the night all week; that's good because I hate going out in the woods in the rain!
DeBora you sound so busy you have my head spinning just thinking of all you've done today! Good Luck with the studies.
Sweetnell any word yet on DH's new job? It will be nice when you know so you can plan somethings. Hope you and your family have a wonderful evening!

Sky is gloomy and rain is moving in and the weather people even said maybe storms; so getting as much done online as I can now because probably will not be able to open computer later.
We have to take Socks to the vet this morning. He has hurt his back right leg somehow. We noticed him limping Friday night and it has gotten worse over the weekend. Not sure if "arthur" is visiting him or if maybe he has dislocated his hip. My DS#'s dog dislocated his hip last fall and he was walking this same way so we shall see....
Hope you all have a good day!

Goood Morning Ladies! Cat it looks like rain here right now but supposet clear up later than we are to have rain the next three days. No word yet but we know it could be May or later before we know for sure anything.Got back in touch with a dear friend who moved off almost three years ago,she had change her e-mail address as had I did & we lost touch until a couple of weeks ago her dh & second son came to visit Paris ,he gave me the new e-mail so I was able to touch base with her.She has a son Audrey's age in fact her & he were good buddies at school.Anyway she wanted to move out there where they are in Amarallio[mispelled] she said they have 4 wal-marts & 0ne Sams LoL! Of course it would be nice to be close to her again as I've really have missed her.Well need to get off & get some things done as dh gets off early all this week & I've got to go get some food as the cupbroads are bare LoL! But really it is low anyway hope all have a great day!

Nell, it may turn out that we'll both hear our news sometime after May starts. At least one school said they wouldn't find out anything until sometime in May.
I hope everyone is having a good Monday.
I just got home and have my second cream cheese braid in the oven. As soon as I finish my ramen noodles, I will take a shower.

04-24-2007, 06:23 AM
Hmmm, that cheese braid sounds good right now with a cup of coffee! Socks will be okay; seems it appears he was bit by ne of the other cats! I know our middle "child" has been after him and we always taught him not to fight back and he doesn't. He is old and big (24.25 lbs), so he doesn't move fast and she chases him! We heard a couple of screams the other day and that must have been when she got him. So he has steriods to take for 5 days and we put him on an antibotic as a precaution. I bought a nifty gadget to give him pills with from the vet. And the other is a liquid so I put him in the leg of a pair of sweat pants ( he can't move or swat in those), and give him the liquid. We have to do those meds for about a week. If he is still limping then we have to go back and get him x-rayed, but the vet didn't thiik there was anything broke. Right now he's just mad at me for making him take the meds!
Sweetenell, that was great you were able to get in touch with an old friend. We lost touch with some 25 years ago and last year got in touch with each other again.
We have to go finish getting that load of lumber today in between rain drops! Have a good day all!

Cloudy and enough sprinjkle today I can't even hang out the clothes to dry so have all the shirts on hangers in the laundry room and the rest on my grandmother's wooden drying rack; so glad I kept that thing! I try and not use the electric dryer much, it really makes a difference on the electric bill!
Need to plan some supper early; thinking of maybe a pot of beans and some cornbread. And a rice dish on the side. Got some fresh green beans yesterday at he store and need to plan on putting them in the crockpot early tomorrow.

Oh so sweet; new kitties! DH thought I was nuts with the last bunch we had...I bought a bassinett and it is still down in the mudroom; the cats enjoy sleeping in it. I got it at a thrft store for $5.00. Doesn't have the stand so it just sits on the floor, but works perfect for the cats. And of course all the material comes off to be washed occasionally. Let us know when they arrive and what they are!
SUpper should be ready in just a bit so I need to go get the table set in just a bit. Have a good evening!

Cat this momma cat is the type of cat that doesn't like to be held for very long but every time she's been pregant a feww days to a week or so before she has the babies she wants to stay in my lap so I figure it'll be soon on the babies. Well dh doesn't think the Sam job will come through as the are rearrange on how its run & are mainly keeping mangers already in the Sam's store. So it may be awhile before we will know if we have to move anywhere. Also the house uptown is still in the works so only the lord knows where we end up. So keep us in your prayers everyone. Have a good night all!

We are pretty much playing it by ear too. Dh is working a lot of overtime, Saturdays. So I think we will be seeing some of Oregon this year. We might pick mushrooms with dh niece and her dh. They are going to show us how it's done.
I just baked a carrot cake and now I'm baking oatmeal cookies.
Next week-end I'm going up to Bellevue, Wa for an Avon Seminar. They are having a motivational speaker. I need motivation! Some days are just like taking a step backwards. So I'm going on Fri and coming back Sat. afternoon.

Sweetnell, that is like our cat that always had the kittens, she doesn't want to be bothered at all, but once she is PG she wants all the attention till the babies are all gone! Your family will be in my thoughts on your maybe move; it has to be rough not knowing for such a while.
LoriMae, we need to learn how to pick mushrooms well too! We have 30 acres so I'm sure they are there, I'm just not real sure enough yet on getting the right ones! I've studied the books over and over, but there are so many that look alike! I'm told once I find where the good ones are I can go to that spot every year! Good luck on your mushroom hunt!
The Seminar sounds like fun, at least it can count as a get away! LOL Have fun!
DeBora, hi to you too, I'm sure you are probably studying!
I have some Buckeye Ranch Chili cooking; it was in a gift basket someone gave us a while back and I just came across it yesterday. Figure I'd better fix it before the weather gets warm enough that we won't want chili for awhile. Problem is; it probably won't be ready till 10 tonight; it starts with dry beans! They are soaking after I boiled them a bit so....
Have a good evening everyone!
LoriMae, send me some of those cookies. MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM! My favorite.

Hello all! Up early this morning and not sure yet what I'm going to be working on other than I saw the weather so laundry is already washing so I can hang it out on the line. Actually kind of cold out; only 55 degrees right now. I have all the windows open so I need to go get a sweater; 66 degrees inside!
Not sure yet what I'm going to fix for supper; the chili last night didn't turn out real well, so glad I don't have any more of that mix! It didn;t taste bad, just didn't have any flavor at all! It smelled really good cooking, but DH and I either one liked it so as much as I hated to it went in the compost!

Hey y'all -
Can I join?? I'll probably mostly lurk since my hands are hurting a lot recently, but I do enjoy forum chats.
SweetNell, I just love cats and kittens - as those who know me on FC can testify. We have 3 who are the bosses of the house - and we are grateful they let us live with them!! LOLOL!!
DH is doing most of the cooking these days since my rheumatoid arthritis has me wiped out entirely too much of the time. He's so sweet about it - and makes some of the funniest mistakes. I "told" on him on the "What's for Dinner" thread on FC. He tried to make up a crockpot recipe without ever having made anything in a crockpot - and we had "pot roast soup" as a result! ROTFLOL!! :D:D
Well, that's all my fingies can deal with for now.
Join me for tea?
Cheerio!

Elizabeth, I read your post about your DHs "soup" in the crockpot! Give him an A for effort though. Jump in, we'd love the conversation.
Nell, I know what you mean about the allergies. I hope I remember to take my honey before I leave in the morning. I would hate to have my nose dripping or sneezing while I am on the table while the doctor is drilling on my head. This time, I am going to have him get more aggressive with the radio frequencies since that seems to keep my headaches at bay much better for longer periods of time.
Barb, Elizabeth probably has "curmudgeon" on autotype or something. LOL I hope you don't mind the teasing tonight Liz. Consider it your initiation. lol
Cat, I hope you are feeling better. I hope everyone else is doing well. I have my school stuff packed. We are going to grab something quick to eat on the way out. The hospital told me not to eat after midnight, but I eat anyway since I don't accept any sedation. The doctor allows me to leave as soon as he is finished if I don't have anything for sedation. It is a 3.5 hour drive, so we'll be leaving early. Well, I need to hit the hay. Good night all!

DeBora hope all went well for your headaches and all. Sounds scary though!
Isn't it funny sweetnell how they have to have their own little spot for the kittens? The last litter Snowflake had we had a nice cradle all fixed for her and she had them in the corner on the cold concrete floor in the mudroom. We let her finish having them and then moved them and her to the cradle, she decided that wa a better place after all. LOL
We had to take Socks back to the vet yesterday, they had to sedatec him and shave the foot, we then found a puncture wound where Rerun had bit him. It didn;t become ifected though(probably because the meds we had him on kept that from happening), but he has developed water on he knee! Had it drained and he is finally almost feeling better. Gave him a cordisone shot in the foot also. Doctor said it might take up to 3 months for him to recover from it. His biggest problem is bcause he weighs almost 25 pounds and is 10 years old. Had to watch him close yesterday till he finally came out of it.
Have to hang out some clothes today; rain moving in tonight and off and on the rest of the week. Sweetnell it was 92 degrees yesterday! The weather is still messed up around here! LOL
Have a good day all!

Nell, I am so sorry about the 13 year old boy. Tell Audrey that I am sorry about the loss. I am sure it has had an affect on her, whether or not she was friends with him, it has to be difficult to lose a peer of the same age. We are thinking about her.
Cat, I hope Socks heals quickly. It is so difficult to see our pets suffer.
We got back about an hour ago. They had problems doing the RFT nerve block. At first, things went well. They got me on the table in the operating room. They got my hair taped back, out of the way. The doctor then cleaned and marked the area. When he gave me the injections in the back of the head to numb the area, it went better than normal as it didn't even sting, when it usually does. I thought that was going to go well. Then, when he started puting in whatever he puts in the occipital area to do whatever he does, he started having problems. The machine that does the radio frequency (RFT) wasn't making contact! (It usually feels like electricity pulsing in my head, which sometimes causes my arms to flail around like I am flying because they also activate the nerves in my arms.) I usually can also hear the machine making pulsing noises. So, the doctor had to take out a probe and put in a different one. I am numb, but I can hear the noises, which I will spare you the details of what that sounds like. After the second attempt, the doctor got stern with the new girl who was operating the machine. He thought becuase she was new and was making mistakes that maybe it was her fault. After another 2 more attempts, they had Victor, a staff member get some new probes or different probes. Those worked! They were able to get them to make the necessary contact. DH wondered why I went in about 9:30am and didn't get out until about an hour and a half later. The procedure, from beginning to end, doesn't usually last but about 20 minutes.
I knew that when the the feeling came back that I was going to be sore. I feel VERY sore, my neck is more swollen than normal, and I feel bad. But, I am hoping there was enough radio frequencies that "did their thing" to give me many, many months of pain free headaches.
We all laughed today during the procedure when they finally were able to get the probes to work because I said, "Whoo Pee! There's the sound of no more headaches!" LOL Anyway, I am going to be more sore than normal and may take longer to heal. The doctor talked to us afterward. We talked about our kids (he has one in Law school and one in Medical school) and how the procedure went. He was sorry that there were problems. I told him that in all the times that I have had nerve blocks that this is the first time I have ever had problems, so I am really fortunate.
DH and I are having TV dinners tonight as we are both extremely tired from the trip. It was 7 hours, round trip not including the procedure, stopping to eat lunch, and stopping to get some pain medication.
Now, off the subject, I have a food question. Thursday DH and I are going to a potluck dinner at a professor's house. It is a way for the professors to get to know many of the psychology students. However, I am conflicted as to what to bring. I want to bring poppy seed chicken for sure. However, I don't know whether to bring a side dish or a dessert. I have so many ideas that it is hard for me to pick just one.
I hope everyone is having a good day.

DeBora sorry to hear that the treatment went badly but hopefully you'll be headache free for months. This is the second teenager that has died recently the first was a 14 year old that was killed during spring break back in March. He was thrown off a atv that he was riding, even though the boy had changed schools Audrey knew him well as he had went to school with her for a few years. Both boys were well liked and very popular. It is so hard when it a young one to died. As for what to carry to the potluck can you talk to some of the others who'll be going to get an idea of what they'll be taking? That way you can plan from there. Hope you have fun at this dinner. Take it easy & get plenty of rest.

Good Morning Ladies! The kittens are here! So far there is only two a orange one & a graytiger with white on it.I don't know for sure if this all she's having or not. They are at this point only a few hours old.I lock her in the carrier last night as I could see she was having them,it was storming so I didn't want to put her out.She kept getting on my lap then she would go in Audrey's room then she would come back out & get back on my lap,I try to get her to stay in the carrier with the door open but she wouldn't stay ,I didn't have a big enough box for her so I put her in the carrier.Audrey may have some friends come home with her today,I will take them all to karate so her friends can watch her workout yhen if she's able will spend the night with one of them as they have no school tomorrow. Then I will pick them up Friday to bring out here & they are going help her get her room in order & just hang out.Looks like we might get more storms today at this point we'll see.Got my hair cut short yesterday as it had gotten shaggy feels so much better. When the other cats are in I keep the door shut but when they are out Iopen the door so the mom can go as she pleases .Anyway all three are doing fine.Anyway sitting here waiting on Audrey to call for me to pick her up from a friends house whom she spent the night with last night.May go ahead & call her here in a little while.Need to go buy food but might wait to go shopping tomorrow as dh has plans to have a cookout at his parents house.Hopefully it won't be raining.Allergies are driving me crazey just notice today one of the bushes with the white flowers is growing right by Audreys window will have to get dh to cut it down. Not raining here but looks like it might this afternoon.Need to clean out ds's car before I go get Audrey as her friend is suppose to come home with her to spend some time out here with her. Kathy glad you found your way over here we have missed you.DeBora hope all is going well with you, good luck on this last week of school coming up. Have a good afternoon!

Nell, you sound like me postponing shopping until I absolutely have to go. lol I hope your weekend goes well.
Cat, you sound terribly busy. I hope your weekend goes well too.
I only have one more week to go! I need to study for one more final that I have on Monday. I have a ton of things to do for the research lab next week. The professor wants me to stay for the summer. I told him that I am out of there! Nothing could make me stay. lol I am ready to go home! The exam I had on Thursday was easy, but the teacher decided to avoid ambiguous questions and answers this time and just test on what we knew.
I am still feeling bad from the nerve block, but it will heal.
I hope everyone else has a terrific weekend.

Hello all! We spent Derby Day here at home and I didn't even watch the race live! Actually forgot about it. Was out in between rain drops working on the summer storage building. Have to go next week and order the roofing and decide on what siding we will be using. Going to the sawmill first to see what they have available that can be used for that.
Tomorrow I havea checkup in Louisville so the day will be gone by the time we get back home. Have several things to take to the boys so have to take the Expedition so gas will be bad tomorrow and it is $3.20 a gallon there!
Need to look in the freezer and see what is for supper tonight and maybe throw something in the crockpot. I know I have some fresh corn on the cob in the refrigerator I need to clean and cook tonight. Also need to clean out refrigerator and wipe it down. Been putting that off sor several weeks! LOL
Hope everyone has a great day!

Good Morning Ladies! Hope all is well with all of you.It is really cloudy here just waiting for the downpour to hit.I've got a big pot of stew cooking in the crockpot so it'll be ready when we get out of church as we don't get out til one o'clock , but then again we don't have a evening church meeting like most churchs either. Doing okay except for allergies be glad when that one bush quits blooming then I'll be okay. Only one up right now so nice & quite here thinking about going to get a paper in a little bit so can read it before church the online version does have a lot of information in it so like to see whats all going on. Cat, have a safe trip tomorrow. I saw an Expedition limo yesterday! I actually saw several different types of limos yesterday. It must have been prom night.
Nell, thanks for the ecard yesterday. Rain has a way to bringing the allergens down in higher concentration, which makes our allergies worse. I hope your allergies get better.
My race was postponed until today because of rain. I am still feeling bad from my procedure, but it will heal in time. I've got to study for my last final today as well. I may reservations at an Italian resteraunt here in Cruces for Friday night. We are hoping DH's cousin, his spouse, their kids, and his other cousin will join us. DD and her family will be there as well as DD and his parents. That is why we need the reservations. DH's cousin's wife is also graduating and they live in Deming and they have invited us to their BBQ at their house on Sunday. DS's plane won't get in until 10:25pm in El Paso on Friday night.
I hope everyone has a terrific week!

I hope all those allergy symptoms go away soon, ds1 gets hayfever and hates it, no fun. He's been sent home from school because of bad hayfever, they plant those big blossoming trees beside the classroom. Easy to grow trees bad for the sinuses.

Is that Derby day as in Kentucky Derby? That sounds like our Melbourne cup in Victoria, they have a public holiday for that day ..... we in Queensland don't.
DeBora
I hope you had a good dinner out, I love a good Italian restaurant, they don't make you feel bad about calories and do they know how to cook!
It is a long weekend here, Labor Day. Had rain for all of 2 minutes and now the sun is out and a great big blue sky all around .... might do some gardening.
I hope you all have had a good weekend. :)

Thanks Kathy! Once the bushes quit blooming I'll be okay,it just seems this year that ever where I go there that one kind of bush is like its following me LoL! Anyway in a few more weeks it should have all the blooms gone. This last Friday our kids were out of school for a weather day & will be out this Friday also. Then they have only two weeks of school left then they'll be out for the summer. She does have youth conference around the 22 of June ,then the first of August she has girls camp.Hope maybe as a family we can do something special this summer.DeBora good luck with your test though I'm sure you;ll do fine. Cathy, I don't go out to eat until this coming Friday. I agree about the calorie thing. I don't know what it is about Italian cooks, but you can never get enough calories with them! lol
Btw Cathy, my DH saw your dog having his birthday cake and he asked me if I had seen it. He said he'd never thought he'd ever see someone who spoiled their dog more than we did! lol

Yes, the Kentucky Derby. DH and I are both from Louisville, KY where it is ran. Neither of us have ever been to the Derby! We've been to Churchill Downs for scouting events , but that is all. Queen Elizabeth was there this year for the 133rd running of the KY Derby.

I hope everyone is having a wonderful week. I finished my final exam last night. I finally had a good night sleep. Now, I have a lot of work to do in the research lab. As soon as I compile all the data from the 2 experiments that I did and as soon as I finish writing a program for the next experiment, I will be finished there. That may take 2-3 days. I work in Anthony on Wednesday and Friday and I will be finished!!!
DS called last night and he is very depressed. He said that he is homesick. I think a few days with family may make him feel better.
I need to put on a pork roast before I leave for school as DH is coming tonight to help me with the heavy stuff. We need to get the trailer ready for company that is coming on Friday.

Good luck DeBora on the outcome of your test resutls, fingers crossed for you.
Summer holidays, I bet the kids are all getting excited about the end of school approaching. We will be coming up to winter holidays at the end of June.

Hello all! Been a whirlwind around here! LOL Thought we would have gotten to stay at home, but the guy called and said our screen we ordered was in, so had to go pick it up.
Icemaker is on the frtiz so.... just ordered a new one, by the time I paid for a service call and the time spent here and then parts a new one one wasn't that far off in cost. I'm pretty sure I can put it in myself. The guy at the place where I ordered it showed me what to do so we'll see how I do!
Rain to move in this afternoon so need to get in gear and get outside this morning. Slept in some because was up several hours during the night, something was after the chickens AGAIN! Caught a raccoon night before last and bet he wasn't alone!
DeBora so gald you will be free from school soon for awhile. Hope you have a nice break!

Planning on getting back to some grass cutting today; storms are supposed to move in tonight and rain most of the day tomorrow. Started on cleaning up the garage some yesterday. So sore from the first long day of grass cutting after a winter break from it; won't take too long to get back into it! It sounds like everyone had a wonderful Mother's Day. My car broke down Sunday evening. I spent all day yesterday with my neighbor trying to fix it. However, I ended up having to get a tow truck to pick it up and take it to the dealership. So, I wait to find out what is wrong with it. My MIL took the GKs and I home late last night. We are enjoying being home.
I hope everyone has a terrific day!
Does anyone eat breakfast anymore? I know I should but I'm not hubgry until at least 10 a.m. My doctor had a fit when I told him this. As you know breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Thats what he said. But what is a girl to do?
DeBora4BobbyL
05-15-2007, 03:35 PM
Coll, you took the words right out of my mouth. When I am not in school and I don't have to go anywhere, I don't get hungry until about 10am either. I personally feel that eating just because it is time isn't the best way to eat. I eat that first meal whenever I am hungry. Then, I am usually hungry for lunch at about 1-2pm. Then, I eat dinner later in the evening. So, it isn't just you!
cat lover
05-15-2007, 07:12 PM
We don't go with eating just because it is time either. We tend to eat less if we actually eat when we are hungry rather than just because it is " meal time".
DeBora, hope you car gets fixed and doesn't turn into a big repair! Speaking of cars, I was just wondering what regular gas is all your ways? It is between $3.17 and $3.49 a gallon here (that is today at this hour) LOL
DeBora4BobbyL
05-17-2007, 10:05 PM
Well, it is going to cost $210. 18. They said that the neighbor who installed the starter didn't connect the wires correctly. Bummer. At least it isn't serious. We leave tomorrow to go to Cruces to get my trailer. We want to go get it and be back in time to watch the races on Saturday.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who likes to eat when I'm hungry, not when its "time" to eat. LOL. I'd rather eat around 7 p.m. but thats supposedly too late to eat dinner.
I like to eat that late because there is less chance of snacking before bed.
cat lover
05-18-2007, 08:01 AM
DeBora, actually that isn't a bad price for a car repair! Glad that is all it was.
Coll, we usually eat late here; sometimes as late as 10 pm. In the warmer months we get outside and loose track of time and by the time we feed and water all the animals and clean up ourselves it is that late before I even get it started! DH and I when we were first married usually ate supper around 11 pm; guess old habits are hard to break! LOL
Sweetnell, hello to you and all your family!
Hope all are doing well and have a good day!
DeBora4BobbyL
05-18-2007, 11:37 AM
Coll, the cost wasn't for car repair. It was just for towing and to diagose it. I shudder to think what it would have been if we had anything seriously wrong or if they charged us to attach the wire! But, dealerships are more expensive than others.
Well, DH and I are on our way to Las Cruces to get our trailer. We are hoping to be back before tomorrow morning so that I can watch Bobby's pit crew during the pit crew challenge. They came in 2nd place!!!!
I hope everyone enjoys their TGIF!

Fixed lunch and also got to have supper together! They told me today they were reserving the cabin in the woods for a weekend in June so looks like more fun. Hello Ladies! Hope your day went well!We are now down to four cats as of today. The mommie cat & the two babies are doing fine aswell as the teenage female cat. When Audrey & I went to the store today we saw that our male cat tigger had got ran over by a car I know it was him because he had on a white flea collar.I hope someone will be nice enough to move his body as I can't do it myself as it would be just to hard .He was hit close to a house by the highway so I'm hoping the ones who live there will move him.Audrey has four days left in school this week then she is free for the summer. The last week of May my sister & bil are going on vaction so she ask me to look after mom during the daytime that week so Audrey & I will be doing that during that time.My nephew told me if I got the brisket he would smoke it for me so I'm going to try to buy a large one so we can half it as my family & mom really like brisket cook that way so both families will get meals out of the brisket. Thanks for the offer DeBora I will tell Audrey of your offer to work with her this summer.I didn't get a chance to tell her today.Cat hope you get a lot done outside before it gets to hot to work outside.Have a goodnight!

Going up to English for some milk, lotto and whatever else we need; not planning on going out this weekend anywhere! Kathy, it is Memorial Day when we remember all soldiers who died serving in the military. There will be many parades and ceremonies at military cemeteries.
But it's also considered the start of the summer season....so people have barbecues and go swimming and (don't get me started) forget the real reason for the holiday.

catlover, years ago when the VW plant was 2 miles from my parents home there were problems with the night shift employees throwing empty beer bottles and garbage at my moms car parked in front of the house. Mom called the mayor and told him in no uncertain terms were they putting up with it, (they had to claim 3 or 4 broken out car windows on thier insurance in a short period of time). anyway, mom said she was going to sit out with her gun and start shooting when she saw it happen again. The mayor was afraid she'd do it so he went straight to VW and complained. It worked for a while, now there are SONY employess doing it.
Its worth a shot to complain to the mayor or the cops.

We live in a rural community where all we have is a commissioner board, and I have gone to them, the sheriff. Department of Natural Resources ( we live on private owned land in a National Forest), and the state police. They have all been out, but usually the 4 wheelers are all gone by the time they get here. Now that I have had a survey on my land done and know 100% when they are on my property the authorities can do more. Plus they know when they are trespassing as it is all posted, signed ,and etc. So yep, this time I will be down there with my gun. I informed all the authorties today that I will be doing that and mostly they said as long as I stay on my property with my gun and wait for them to trespass the law is on my side. I told them I'll also have a camera aready for pics! LOL Hopefully I don't have to use it! Don't want to shoot anyone , but maybe they'll stay away after the first time! I'm a pretty good shot so if they are meant to be hit they will be! LOL
They all took reports ahead of where they are all stationed so if they come here all I have to do is call and give my name and the authorities all know where to come!

Have had a quiet time, some of the authorities must have gone an talked to the 4 wheelers group ; so far they have stayed off my property!!!! So a nice quiet weekend for DH and I.
I planted another 21 tomato plants yesterday and another 8 sweet bell pepper plants. If all does well this year I'm going to have to find lots of people to share with. Everything in the garden seems to be doing well. Have already been eating the spinach, kale, green onions, sugar snap peas.
We too will wait for the DVD's. We have all the home theater equipment, but haven't started on the home theater building yet; trying to finish up the storage building right now.
Have a good day all!

Kathy, I feel for your DH! I broke my tailbone almost 2 years and I have never experienced more pain. I walked all over Mexico with a severely broken foot and no pain medication for a month and it was no big deal. I slightly fracture my tailbone and I want to die from the pain! I still cannot sit for long periods of time. I hope he gets to feeling better soon!
Cat, I am glad that you didn't have any more problems with those 4-wheelers. We've had problems with them when we've gone camping. It seems many of them have no respect for others.
Nell, tell Audrey to enjoy her time off from school! Enjoy your vacation with your DH! Our vacation time starts the 25th of June. We will go down and celebrate our DGS's birthday and then head for the mountains.
Coll, I hope one of those movies are on while the GKs are visiting. I think they would love to go to the drive-in again. Last time we went to see Charlotte's Web and brought grilled brats, soft drinks, and other fun things.
Well, as soon as my DGD falls asleep, I will go to sleep. We will meet DH's family at Denny's tomorrow for breakfast. Then, we will come back to the motel and pack up our stuff. Then, after we check out, we will go to my SIL's house and visit for a bit before we head for Midland. We will drive as far as we can and stay the night somewhere. I have an appointment Tuesday afternoon with a advisors in Odessa. After that, we will go back to Midland to get the dogs. We might also grab the GKs too. Then, head for Carlsbad. I hope everyone's week is going well. I am not sure when I will get Internet service again as we won't be getting to Carlsbad until Wednesday.

Have fun in all your travels DeBora! Yes a lot of the 4 wheelers have NO respect for others property and they give most a bad name. I do know several people that have them and one group bought land to do all their stuff on and others wouldn't thik of trespassing! ALways somebody in a group that spoils it for all!
Going out today and plant the last of the stiff from the greenhouse. Might even do a cleanup of the green house today. I never did get it organized so now whilenothing is growing in it would be a good time! I do have a couple of tropical plants still in there trying to get them to recover.
I have had a broken tailbone also. Fell down the back steps on ice coming home from a camping trip. I hit my head and it knocked me out. My DH and the scoutmaster came by the house after dropping off the van and found me laying on the steps! It was painful!

DH and I are just stayig around here today and probably work on the building under contruction. I need to cut kale, broccoli, and pull some sugar snap peas before the temperature gets really hot out.
Sometime this week we need to go to Jasper again and get chicken feed and pick up whatever else we ned to. DS#1 and Greta are having a cookout in Louisville this weekend so I suppose we need to go. I've got to come back out here to take her to that. Then Audrey has active tonight not sure what they are doing. Got all the veggies pulled for supper and I also got the strawberries soaked. Sweetnell, sure wish we could get some of your rain. The wind is really picking up here so hope maybe some rain will finally move in.
DeBora, push your mop this way; my floor needs mopped too! LOL Well have a good evening all and Sweetnell; don;t wear yourself out! I know how it is when DH's get down and all the running ends up on you! Take care!
Hi guys!
Hubby and I planted a bunch of stuff this weekend. He bought me a window box and bought some herb plants just for me. Sage, italian parsley, greek oregano, and dark opal basil. He planted 2 tomato plants for himself as well as a red hot cherry pepper and a concord grape vine. He also planted 2 strawberry plants and a yellow bell pepper for me. Hopefully we won't kill them all! LOL There are already 2 strawberries turning red and the sage smells divine! I didn't plant food, I planted 4 rose bushes.

I'm on my just over "hump" day, thursday .... did I get that right DeBora?? LOL
All is well here now this week we've kinda been busy or stuff has just happened.
My car tinting has be redone by a new person.
The kids have had extra after school stuff to do.
DH picked up new mobile phones, new work stuff so been playing with the buttons.
I did my meals on wheels days.
Saw a tractor being taken out of a creek with a crane, can see the skid marks on the bank.
We have a new mattress arriving this afternoon. Anyone know of anyone that has a latex mattress? I have alatex pillow and love it not sure on the mattress, but dh liked it so we'll see!
I think that pretty much covers it up to today .... but there is the rest of the week to go!
I hope all those not feeling well get over your troubles and you have a great weekend to come. :)

Nell, keep us posted on your DHs results.
Donna, you must have a green thumb! DH didn't get his tomatoes planted due to my hectic schedule at school this semester so I won't get my fried green tomatoes this season.
Kathy, hump day is on Wednesday. It is the middle of the week 4th day from the front of the week and the 4th day from the end. Does that make sense? lol
I hope everyone else is having a wonderful week.
DH is trying to get the DGKs to sleep. It is his job to put them to sleep and mine to get up with them. We are planning to all go out to lunch tomorrow with a friend of ours that I used to work with here in Carlsbad. Then, tomorrow night, we are taking the GKs to a carnival that is in town for the weekend. It opens tomorrow. We haven't told the GKs because they would be too excited to sleep. lol DH goes back to work on Friday evening, so I will have to take them to see Spiderman 3 by myself. We have plans to grill hotdogs, bring chips, cookies, and soft drinks.

The other day we were at a picnic and on their deck they had one of those strawberry pots with a different herb in each of the little spaces. Wow,dvalliere you sure have a nice herb garden started! All those recipes to use them in will be soooo good. I love fresh herbs!
Bilby, let me know what you think of the new mattress once you have tried it a couple nights. Once we have the home theater built I;m putting in a day bed instead of a couch and have thought a couple times of what type of mattress to get for it. I like to cover my mattrresses in vinyl covers. So my question is: do you still cover those typr or what?
Sweetnell, you and your family are in my thoughts, I know how scary waiting for the results can be. Take care of yourself and let us know when you can how things are going.
Barbszy, the biggest problem I ever had with one of those strawberry jars was just keeping it watered. The water tends to run out so it takes a good while to get it soaked! They are very pretty though!
Running to Jasper today, we have chicken feed, 55 gallon barrel, oil dry (I use it for cat litter-50 lbs. for $3.49) and several other itmes to get so we have to take the Expedition. Not looking forward to gas fill up time! But figure it would be cheaper in the long run than making another trip next week with the little car. With my luck we'll end up going again anyway! LOL
Have a good day all!

Cat
the mattress is very firm although you can get softer ones. The way it works is there is a main latex mattress then the 'softness level' comes from how thick a fibre mattress on top is (1 or 2 or 3 inches). We love a firm mattress, so our softness level is about 1 inch thick, and I can sleep on the floor. It is the same all over thickness as an inner spring one.
You can't turn them over, they are dearer than the inner spring mattress and ours is not an ensemble (2 big mattresses thick)
Supposedly they have a longer life and should not get a body dent over the years.
Great you're getting a theatre room we have one and I love it! So great for movie nights at home, we rarely go to the movies now.
Not much happened today, bought a pair of shoes on special, I luuuuurve shoes LOL and a couple of coloured singlets 1/3 priced to go under my shirts as winter comes on.
Anyone got any plans for this weekend?

Thanks for the info on the mattress Bilby! We are having to go to Louisville on Saturday. We really don't want to go into the city (the air pollution is extremely high there right now), but DS #1 and his "family" are having a cookout and we really can't say no. We never make it there for Christmas usually because of the weather that time of year so I think we "need" to go to this one. (Haven't convinced DH of that-LOL) They don't have AC so I guess I'll have to take extra meds to try and counter act the air. We don't have AC either, but out here in the woods we don't have the air pollution problem and it stays much cooler with all the trees! Other than that we have no other weekend plans.
Bilby, how is your home theater set up? We are just starting ours so any suggestions would help. We are still designing the building. We got an Epson home theater movie projector with the built in DVD abd surround sound and had a 5 x 8 foot screen made for it. Reading through the materials on it we found we could expand to a 34 foot picture! But that kind of goes to extreme and wouldn't fit in the building either! LOL Might be nice outside on the deck, but then again since our home is log the picture wouldn't show well on it, but size wise it would be perfet with leftover space!

The GKs, Bonte, and myself will be going to the drive-in theater to watch Spiderman 3. I hope there aren't any spiders in the movie. lol I hope everyone has a terrific weekend. Our theatre room is a separate room that has dark curtains to close, a single doorway that as where it's positioned doesn't let in much light. Our screen is 87inches by 45 inches ( I know you are supposed to go on the diagonal but I can reach that angle to measure LOL) The darker the room the better/ clearer the pic.
Our projector is a Panasonic PT-AX100E and you get quite a few hours viewing out of each lamp. (we use ours as our tv at night and got about 18mths before we replaced the globe) It is fixed in our ceiling at the back of the room in the middle. This has been our set up for nearly 3yrs now.
We have 2 separate single speakers fitted in the ceiling above our heads at the back of the room with 3 separae single speakers in the ceiling right in front of the screen. It all runs through our stereo so we can watch our DVDs and tv in good theatre quality sound, it is so great set up this way as you can hear things in the background like raindrops, or people walking that you would normally not hear.
Hubby does sound and speakers and electronic stuff, he installed ours so that when people asked what goes with what or where, he could tell them for our business or if need be show them our (our lounge is the demo room LOL)
If you want more info or a pic of our lounge set up let me know and I will email you privately.
Donna, you must have a green thumb! DH didn't get his tomatoes planted due to my hectic schedule at school this semester so I won't get my fried green tomatoes this season. So far hubby has been doing all the work. He waters them before I get home from work. He bought all the plants already started. The basil was a 6pak of seedlings though, only about 2 inches high. Now they are 2.5 inches high so I guess they like where they are.
The other day we were at a picnic and on their deck they had one of those strawberry pots with a different herb in each of the little spaces. Darn, if I were any good with a garden I would want to do that! I thought it was such a clever idea. She had 2 kinds of parsley, basil, oregano, chives, lavender and I forget what else in there! That sounds like a good idea. I'm going to try that next year...maybe 2... one for herbs, one for strawberries....hmmm....I'll have to see how much we use the herbs first

When I pull the straw off the strawberries from the winter I make sure lots of it is under the plants; that way the strawberries lay on the straw. Maybe if you didn't have straw over them or threw it all out you can place some under the plants.

Cat, yes, I will be going to school in Odessa, Texas. I am trying to take an assessment class this summer so that I won't have to go an extra semester of school. However, I don't think it is possible as reliable psychology classes aren't taught online and most aren't taught in the summer. I have to take a class about reliability and validity of tests before I can take tests on giving tests such as IQ tests and personality tests. Snakes are the one thing that I miss about Texas. lol I'd rather chase snakes than spiders.
Nell, I hope everything is getting better at your house.
DH and I couldn't get a place that we wanted in the mountains for our anniversary. So, we are going to stay at a honeymoon suite in Odessa that allows pets.

Hi all! I've been sooo busy and just realized this morning I hadn't been online in several days! DS#1 and his gang are coming up June 22-24 and going to Holiday World so I've been trying to get the campsite and cabin ready for them. Then one of DH's sisters and her DH are coming up the 30th and so we have invited all his other siblings and theit kids up for a cookout. If they would all come it would be 45 people! But they all probably won;t be able to make it. So I went to the processing plant and got hamburgers. hot dogs, and picked up some chicken and broke it all down and froze it. So this Thursay I'll have to get the last minte things for DS's visit and next Friday the last minte things for that weekend.
Plus I need to cut grass and just do a general house cleaning! Love visits, but sometimes they tend to turn into work! LOL

Yes, I am busy. We are planning and preparing for our vacation that starts the 25th and 26th. Plus, today we went searching for a place for me to park my RV. Plus, DH's restless legs kicked me for a good while on Thursday night. Even though I screamed at him and everything, he would not wake up. Then, he rolled over towards me and the snoring started. I couldn't sleep at all between the snoring AND the kicking. So, I went to my anniversary celebration with zero sleep. It was not one of my better anniversaries. I was so pathetic as I had a hard time staying awake.
Well, I need to do some cleaning and packing. I hope everyone has a terrific weekend.

He has short term disablity insurance at work that he will get til August 31 but its quite a lot of cut in pay.We are also filing for food stamps. We will just have to be careful with how much we spend. But we be cutting out alot of extra's like movies & things we don't really need.If we get in to much of a tight his family will help as much as they can so we are in good hands. Not sure how much sick time he will have left but he still has all of his vacation pay.As soon as I know whats going on with Audrey I'll let you know! Hope your vacation goes well have fun & stay safe!

Sweetnell, you mentioned filing for food stamps... you might even be able to file for some help on your electric bill; the city we used to live in offered that to people so it might be worth checking into and see what all is available. Good luck on all of it.
Have fun on your vacation DeBora! Are you wanting to park your RV near where you will be staying next school year? That would probably be great so you don't have to move it around so much with the cost of gas!
I'm doing a little checkig in here right now, but I need to get dressed and go out and cut the rest of the grass today. Supposed to be our hottest day of the year so far...96 degrees! It is 76 degrees right now, rain maybe later this week! Hope we get it,but hope it isn't on the days we have activities up here!
Have a good day all!

DeBora, my DH has bouts of restless leg, and I just hate it, too, since he doesn't even notice and I just can't fall back to sleep most times. Boo!
Pretty quiet here, just continuing with the same ole, same ole -- unpacking boxes and getting settled in, trying to figure out how to store all the "treasures" I've accumulated over the years in a smaller house, or what I can give up. Sigh.
Nell, hope your DH's treatments go well and he's better soon.

Nell, I bet things are tough. I hope you guys get through all this quickly.
The doctor told me over the phone that he is now questioning whether or not DH has restless leg syndrome since he is able to sleep through it!!! Everyone else that has it falls asleep and continues kicking in their sleep. So, we are going to have to find another doctor.

Anyway Audrey & I will try to go see the movie "Nancy Drew" to Monday to relax & have fun .Today later we are going to see a trailer house that we might try to get for our lot uptown it's a 16-54 two bedroom & two bath .It's only five years old, also its only 8 blocks from where our lot is so it would'nt have far to move. We are suppose to get thunderstorms today its been raining alot the last two weeks off & on. Have a great day all!

Sweetnell, hope things are going okay for you all today. You are staying in my thoughts! Did you and Audrey get to see the Nancy Drew movie? I remember reading all those Nancy Drew books; they were lots of fun to read so the movie will probably be good.
DeBora, ready for your vacation? Hope you have lots of fun!
DH and I are just about ready for DS and his group for the weekend. I got the cabin all in order. Now all I have to do is go get the last minute food on Thursday and make the potato salad and thaw out a few things.
Got a new picnic table for campsite #1. The old wooden one had seen better days so we got one of the plastic top ones that is on a metal stand. We bought two of those when we had the BIG family reunion in 2003 . Decided then as the wood ones give out we'd replace them with the newer plastic and metal ones. They all fold flat also so they will be easier to store in the summer furniture building for the winter also.
Have the menu just about planned for the next weekend when DH's family will be coming up for a cookout. I don't think many are going to come, but maybe they will surprise us. His sister that just retired and her DH will be coming up so we thought it would be a nice get together for everyone, but most have plans already. So I told DH we would have it, have the food and whoever shows up we'll have a good time! We got the screen house put up and all the picnic tables arranged and the grass cut.
Had some rain yesterday here, but it lasted a maybe a whole 20 minutes! Guess the little helped, but we still need so much more!
Have a good day all!

Thanks for the rain Sweetnell! Your thoughts of sharing worked! LOL We got a little more yesterday and have had some duirng the night; not nearly enough, but better than nothing! Hasn't been enough to ruin DS's visit either. They made it up here yesterday morning, and so far we've had a great time hiking in the woods and just enjoying. They are going to Holiday World today. Two of their group are up and have had breakfast, waiting on the last two. Then they will go for the day to the park and return tonight.
Bilby, I missed the Nancy Drew series on TV, sure it was probably here too. I read all the books as a kid and loved them. Sold all my copies at a yard sale years ago, now wished I kept them so I could read them again! Seems so funny to hear someone talk about winter when we are having such hot weather; would be nice if we could even it out some for both of us!
Probably going to take a nap later today after they have all gone to the park. We watched a movie last night and with all the hiking I'm really tired. And then the youngest of the group was here at the house at 6 for breakfast! Glad they are having a good time!
Take are all!

Got my nap in! They didn't get on the road to the park till almost noon, but they are having a good time. No idea of when they will return tonight, so we may do supper for them or not. Told them if they want when they return we could grill some polish sausage and hot dogs, we have plenty of potato salad and corn on the cob left from yesterday. I made some more SF stawberry jello with stawberries in it and just took a pan of brownies out of the oven.
DH and I are going to eat some supper as soon as we get back in from feding and watering all the animals, not waiting to see if they want to eat or not because if they don't then we waited for no reason. It will probably be really late when they come in anyway and we'd be starved by then!~ LOL
We had a nice downpour about 11 this morning and quite a bit of rain during the night so better than nothing and it hasn't ruined their trip either!
Have a good day!

This has been a very hectic week. I have had my DD and her kids here. DD left yesterday, but I still have the GKs. We will take them to Midland tomorrow to DGSs 2nd birthday. Then, we will come home and get ready to leave for the mountains on Tuesday. I still have to cook up some bacon and sausage for my omelets for the mountains. I am running late in my vacation trip because I was involved in a car wreck last night. A man ran a stop sign at a major intersection and broad-sided me on the driver's side. I had to go the the ER, but I am okay but very sore. I am mainly upset that my precious Bobbymobile, which I emotionally attached is in terrible shape. I won't know the outcome of the situation, in which the other driver's insurance will pay for, until during my vacation. But, we will be leaving in a little bit. The accident happened at 10:00pm, and I didn't get out of the ER until after 1am.
Well, I have to go pack.

Happy 4th Of July to those who celebrate.

We are having a multinational day!!
First, Big DS is running in a 5K race.
Then we are going to watch a parade with some friends. Their town has a famous parade; we've never been. The wife in this family is from China and is now a citizen here. Her parents live there too. We'll have lunch there (homemade Chinese!)
After that, we're picking up Big DS's good friend who's visiting from Brazil (his family moved back there a couple of years ago to take care of sick relatives).
Then we're going to another friend's house. They have 4 teen daughters adopted from Romania and Bulgaria. But only 2 of the girls are home, so only Bulgaria will be represented!
So we'll be celebrating our country with people who really know what it's like to live somewhere else, where they do not have the freedoms we do. (And my Chinese friend would be quite upset about those flags!)

Our day consisted of 1 the new trailer won't hook up correctly; we have no running lights so will have to call the equipment shop tomorrow! I just know they are going to tell me to bring it in! Hooked up to the truck the whole thing is 33 feet long! Not looking forward to driving it when I've had no practice time! 2; our chimney sweep had an emergency call near us so called me and asked if they could do ours today; of course I said yes and then we are done for the year on that. Then late this afternoon we had storms all around us, but we didn't get much rain from it. Maybe tomorrow?
DH and I are still eating leftovers from the cookout Saturday and our company Tuesday evening for supper. One of his sisters and her DH are here from Maggie Valley for a week. So we have had more company the past two weeks than we usually get all year, but it's been fun!
Sweetnell, hope you and your family are hanging in there and your DH is home! Tell Audrey hello and your DS also! Taske care of yourself too!

I am back from my trip. I have a tooth that is hurting extrememly bad and the dentist can not get me in until Monday. Plus, last night I went out to tell my neighbors off becuase they were being noisy and I sprained my ankle. I thought I broke it because it looks deformed, but the xrays showed otherwise. I am sitting on my couch waiting to heal. I feel like I am falling apart. lol
We had a hail storm while we were camping. DH and I missed it as we were in town at a biker bar watching the NASCAR race. I joked with the family and said that we were safe with bikers while they were in a hail storm. My DGD loved playing in the hail later. The family had snowball fights. DGD said that God made the hail just for her to play with. lol
Barb, you sound like you are having a busy day. I heard on the radio the other day that most all American flags aren't made in America. There are only a small percentage that are actually made here.
Kathy, my DH took my DD and GKs to a firework display while I stayed home.
The business cards should be collected, then taken to the business and dropped on his desk!
Tami, that sounds like something I would do! lol

Not a travel trailer, but I wish it was! Just a 12 foot x 6 1/2 foot trailer to haul the tractor on. It will be nice for getting the wood we buy for building things also. Should make most trips down to one trip rather than the several just using the truck. I'm still considering an RV that we could just park and use as an extra place for people to stay when they come up here; some don't take to tents!~ LOL A couple weeks ago when we had a larger group up here it would have been handy to have!
Sweetnell, so glad your DH is home again! We have had some rain here and there, but are still behind in rainfall. Last night during the night though we had a storm that had lots of thunder and lighting.
dvalliere, hope you had a great 4th! We spent the day getting our chimney cleaned! LOL Some people near here had fireworks; copuldn't see them , but sure heard them! Kind of scary since we live in the woods and we are lacking so much rain!
We lit off some fireworks in our yard but it was mostly small stuff. We always wet down the weeds before we start. :) The kids had fun with the 'bang-snaps' we bought. Those are tiny bundles of gravel & gun powder that you throw on the ground and they make a snapping sound. I've seen tap dancers use them while they are dancing.

Got the trailer fixed! Salesman came and it wouldn't light up on his truck either so he hauled it back to the shop. Got it there and it worked on everything else! Turns out his and OURS circuit was blown for the running lights! So I got to drive it for the first time on the road 40 miles; I had to take my truck and pick it up and stop at the car dealer with them both. So yesterday was "eventful"! LOL
Going to deliver the lumber to DS#2's house in Louisville today. They have I-64 closed down in Louisville for a month in a big section so we have to drive around the whole town to get to a place where we can go where we need to. So rush hour traffic on any of the three bridges is horrible so I'm delivering today to avoid that mess (especially with a new trailer I'm not used to driving-33 feet long with the truck and trailer).
66 degrees outside here right now, but it is supposed to go up to 92 degrees! In the city where we get our weather reoports from it is already 75 degrees so maybe we won't get that hot here in the woods!

Nell, I hope things are going better for you now. I hope you are able to take some time for yourself.
Lizzie Boo, I hope you enjoyed a terrific birthday!!!
Donna, it sounds like you had a terrific 4th. My family went down and watched the professional fireworks show since we had just got in from vacation.
I am wondering if any Aussie's have heard of Marcos Ambrose? He is a popular NASCAR Busch racer here and he is from Australia? They said that he is from Launceston, Tasmania. Anyway, here is more information (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marcos_Ambrose)about him for those who are interested.
DH kept me awake with his restless legs. I wanted to kill him since he was kicking my sprained ankle. So, I went to sleep on the couch. When DH gets up to go to work, he turns on the light in the kitchen to feed the cats. When he got through, he forgets to turn off the light when he went back to shave. I do believe that he is in the doghouse. lol Yes, my tooth is still killing me. I have a knot on my right jaw and my ear hurts. I hope the dentist can give me an antibiotics for that as well as fix the tooth. I feel like I am just falling apart. lol
I hope everyone is having a good weekend.
I saw some professional fireworks too. I went down to Oakland Beach to watch them there on Tues nite. They were great and we were right under them.

Lizzie-boo; sorry I missed your birthday! Hope you had a great one!
We are running back to Louisville today; one of DH's sisiters called yesterday and told us she had found a row of theater seats at a flea market. We have been looking for some for the home theater we are designing.

Just popping in to say Howdy!Hope everyone is having a good evening!Took Audrey to the doctor who gave her some more asthma med refills. She explain to Audrey that with all the stress she is under it is natural for her to gain weight.Until things calm down it will be hard for her to lose the extra weight. Will take her tomorrow to have her eyes check & get glasses as it has been way to long since she's had her eyes check.

Donna, those professional fireworks displays are beautiful, aren't they?
Cat, that is great that you found some theater seats! Keep us posted on the theater room. I hope your DH gets to feeling better soon. I pray that he doesn't have to go to the hospital.
Nell, I don't know if Audrey likes to exercise, but it will help with what is causing the weight gain. Stress is a terrible factor in causing weight gain. Exercising will enable her autonamic nervous system to help her body to lose weight and reduce the symptoms of her asthma. Also, tell her that I am here if she needs to talk. Talking about her hears and concerns will also help. If not me, do you have any therapists available at your church or somewhere for free or low-cost? Either way, good luck! I hope you and the rest of your family, including your DH are doing well. I know that when there is an ill person in the house, other people's needs get forgotten. I am here for you too.
Well, I am slowly but surely starting to heal. Last night when I awoke to go potty in the middle of the night, I noticed that my foot didn't seem so swollen and deformed anymore. It is black and blue though. lol I am able to hobble a tiny bit of weight on it too! Whoo Hooo! I have to be careful as I tend to over do it. I am keeping it propped up and not using it unless I have to. Bonte came home from the Vet. Poor baby! I have him here snuggling on the couch with me. He cannot get up or walk though. Daddy gave Poncho some treats and Bonte wanted to get up to get some and couldn't. So, we have brought a tiny bit of the treats to him and he ate them without getting sick. He also drank a tiny bit of water. I hope he is back to harassing the house tomorrow. Sad thing though. When we went to get Bonte the first time, he wasn't ready to come home. When Poncho saw that we walked in the door without him, he put his tail between his legs and ran and hid. It was the same look he had when we came home without Jet-Bo. He immediately told him that Bonte would be home later. When we did bring him home, Poncho was the happiest dog! I think he was afraid that Bonte died. It broke my heart.
We went to pay our last respects to the Bobbymobile. They will be taking it away tomorrow. I really loved that car. I hope DH can find another good deal on another one soon. We still have to settle up with the insurance.
I hope everyone else is having a wonderful week so far.

We did go back Sunday and got the theater seats! They are in goodshape and cushioned and even lean back some! Will be a very nice addition to the home theater! I think weare going next week to get some lumber to start on the frame on the buiilding. As long as we get it under roof before winter we can work on the inside no matter what the weather. We also picked up a large piece of furniture the other day for it. It looks like a large peice that you would see over the movie screen. It is about 92" long and 28"deep and is cherry; will be a nice addition! We'll have to center it though as the movie screen is larger than. 92". Told DH we have to start the building soon; we are runing out of room for all th windows, doors and etc we are finding for it! LOL
We have had some rain here, but still almost 6" behind in what we should have. Send yours here any time you want!

Cat that is great about your finds for your home theater. My sister & bil lives in thier camper as they do not own thier own home, they had a chance to buy the trailer they lived in for years from bil's parents but never would make payments on it so the parents finally gave up & have sold or trying to sale it now. Anyway dh seems to be doing fairly well after his 2nd treatment .Audrey is getting ready for a swim party with the church group later this afternoon. I'm trying to make me time but it is hard as I really don't have anyone to hang out with but my family but I am trying. We are still getting rain everyday not all day long but short showers .Of course it has may it where its not so hot this summer but we have more bugs. Anyway hope everyone is having a great day!

Glad your DH is doing good after his treatments! And also that is great Audrey is going out with her friends, that should help her go and have some fun for awhile. Wish I lived close and we go have some get away time for you; we could have lunch and just plain get away! Just be sure to try and get some me time when you can. I understand not having anyone to have me time with; that is the same here; just DH and me. So when he doesn't feel good or me for that matter it leaves the other alone. Thank goodness we have online and friends here!
Your popsicle tag looks good and talked me into going into the freezer and getting one! Have a good night!

Cat, I am glad that you are getting all the things that you need for your theater room. I bet you can't wait to get it started and finished.
Nell, I am glad that your DH is doing well. I am sure he will have his ups and downs. Are you quiet and is your DH the one who usually socializes? I hope that you find something for you. Don't stress yourself out on anything as it isn't worth it. Btw, DH wanted a milkshake the other night. (I mentioned this on another thread.) He had said that he doesn't like Soy milk, but after tasting it, he decided that it wasn't bad. I think he doesn't like soy meat and associates soy with everything bad. lol He said that was the best milkshake in the world. I know that you have been trying soy milk so I thought you would like to know it makes great milkshakes.
I am going to bed soon. I didn't get hardly any sleep last night. Bonte is back to normal now. He has been getting into touble a lot! lol We even had a short dog fight because Bonte was really getting on Poncho's nervers. I was a bit concerned that Bonte was snarling at me everytime I touched his "arms" to rub him. He didn't have a problem with me touching him anywhere else when I was loving on him, even his tummy in the surgery area. Then it dawned on me!!! His little arms are where the Vet put the IV! I think when I touch that area he is afraid that we'll poke him with a needle. He is slowly trusting us.
I made a green chile meatloaf tonight. It was delicious, but it wasn't what I was wanting to do. Next time, I will make it differently and if it turns out, I will share the recipe.
I hope everyone has a terrific weekend.

We are back off to Louisviile after we feed and water all the animals. Got all the framework and some of the decking done on the deck yesterday. Hopefully we'll finish it today, but rain is called for so just dont know. We may have to finish it next weekend.
DS#2 and his live-in are having some problems right now so we may be helping move him!!!! Things seem to have been heading downhill as she seems to want to play "mom" with him also and I think he's had about enough of it; so we shall see! Only thing we can do is stand behind his decision.
DH is ready to go feed and waer so I'd better close off and get in gear! LOL Have a good day!

Cat, I hope everything works out with your DS. I hope that if she isn't the right one, that he found out before they had any children.
Nell, how is everyone at your home?
I hope everyone else is doing well.
Today, my neighbors played loud booming noises. I finally called my other neighbor say that he would write down the license plate of the people that I don't think are supposed to be living there. (This was after 4 hours of hearing this noise.) I am 50% deaf and for me to hear it over my television, it was loud! These are the same people who were popping fireworks either outside of our house or at our house when I sprained my ankle when I went out to tell them for the 2nd or 3rd time to please take them further away. My DD finally went out and talk to them, but she used some not so nice words since I injured myself. Anyway, as I am giving out the license plate number, the male child went in and got a lady. As I was walking away (I was in the street) I heard the lady yelling something at me. I just ignored her. As I talked to my other neighbor, he said that he has called the police multiple times and they caught his grass on fire once. I cannot believe the police haven't done anything as we have a field on one side of us and an alphafa field on the other. I talked to the owner of the park where I live and he wants me to type up a complaint, which I did. I told my other, friendly neighbor, Ceaser, that he should call me the next time I call the police. I will be HAPPY to come out and complain with him. The owner said that there had only been one complaint. But, there are only 3 of us back here, so there are only 2 people who could complain. Also, I suggested to Ceaser that he should tell the police that he wants to press charges as if he doesn't request that, the police will only ask the other people to be quiet. I also told him that I would be happy to be a witness on his behalf. The reason I say this is most of the noise happens in the middle of the night. Our bedroom is in the very back of our home. There are a lot of walls and rooms as well an RV in between us and the noise. Also, we sleep with a fan on to drown out the noise. Not only that, but DH is a heavy sleeper and I sleep on my good ear so that I won't hear my DH snoring. lol But, I can't help but hear it during the day as our living and kitchen area is in the front of the house, which is much closer to these neighbors. I told Ceaser that if they wake me up or if I hear the noise again, I WILL be calling the police. I will tell the police that if the noise doesn't stop, I WILL be pressing charges the second time. I am not going to put up with it for months and months and months like I did before with the other neighbors. It is strange that in the nearly 8 years that I have lived here, this is the 2nd person I have had problems with. I was told that the reason these people are problematic is that they are on drugs. I was told what kind, but I forgot. But, I do know, from my work at the jail, that drugs are a real issue here in Carlsbad. Back a few years ago, the did a huge drug bust, from my office, during the wee hours of the morning. The feds busted a ton of dealers. There have been 2 murders as well that were drug related.
Anyway, I just wanted to get that off my chest. Don't be surprised if you hear that I am out dealing with the cops and the neighbors. lol
Well, I hope my fish is almost ready. I cooked the fish that DH caught on vacation. I thawed them out and baked them. I made some peas and rice from the leftover stock from my balsamic chicken. It really turned out excellant.

Well, luckily she can't have more children, she had three when they moved in together so no children between her and DS. They've been together about 8 years, but he told me he is done putting up with her eratic behavior. They are adults so he will have to do what he feels he needs to. Since he is my son I stand behind him and will help him move if necessary. Talked him today and he said he got some slepp last night, but is still won out.
Sorry you are having neighbor problems; it really doesn't matter where you live there is always somebody to cause trouble. Here we are out in the woods and our closest neighbor I'm sure is making meth and gosh only knows what else is going on. Very wierd happenings and I know he is now being watched by several organizations. Just takes so long for them to get all the info they need to make a case! I never go out without my handgun straped to me even if I don't plan on leaving ,my 30 acres. He has done some petty stealing and vandelizing on my problem, but I haven't caught him in the act ...yet. He'll foul up one day! The police all know about it all and he's the one I've had trouble with threatening me. The sheriff has told him as soon as he is caught in the acts he will be prosecuted. Just hang in there and do everything legal you can. I also have a lawyer working with me on several aspects too.
We got some rain today, but not enough! Chances the next couple days too so hopefully we will get more.
Hope all is going well with everyone else. Let's see, Bilby; you all are winding down on winter now aren't you?

I am glad that your DS doesn't have to be connected to this woman for the rest of his life if the relationship isn't going to work. 8 years is a long time to invest in a relationship and then have it end. I wish him the best.
Ever since I went over to the neighbor's house yesterday and took down a license plate number, we having heard a peep out of them. lol They saw me talking on the phone and I am sure they heard me giving out the numbers. But, they did not know who I was talking to. Today, I talked to my other neighbor. He said that after I came inside from getting the plate number, a couple of them jumped in the car and took off. lol I had heard they were on meth or something like it. They may have been afraid that I was on the phone to the police or owner. I was on the phone, at the time to my other neighbor. But, I did call the owner later. He also owns the mobile home that they live in as well. But, I am ready, just in case they want to keep people awake or make the noise so loud that I cannot hear.
I got my Direct TV hooked up for next week in Texas. I just need to get the Internet service set up now. I live in a strange location. I found a company, but their nationwide office shows that I can't get service there. But, everyone else in the mobile home park is getting it. They said I might have to check their local office. I really hate moving.

Ds's work hours has been cut back so he's not able to help out with the bills much but we are still doing okay. Our friends out Wal-Mart are having a special bake sale for our family next week so that will help alot. Hope thing out with your nieghbors so everything will be quiet.Have a great hump day!

Nell, wow! A lot is happening in your life. I bet you would be glad to trade it in for slower times. I remember my family and friends, who have had cancer, had really good days and really bad days when they were going through chemo. I hope they get rid of the cancer soon. I know he feels miserable. I hope you find out about Audrey's health soon and that it is something simple to fix. I hope she enjoys camp. Sorry about DSs hours. It seems sometimes that when it rains it pours. I hope things are looking up quickly.
I need to take a bath soon. I try to do it before my Judge Judy. It is the highlight of my day. I haven't been able to watch all the shows that I want since school started, so I am quite enjoying it. I will probably need a job with our finances, but we are going to wait until school starts so see how I handle that. After that, I am thinking about taking Bonte next door to play with my good neighbor's puppy. They can both wear each other out! Bonte is getting on Poncho and the cats' nerves with all his energy. lol
I hope everyone else is having a wonderful day!

Seems you just got out of school DeBora and here it is almost time to get ready to go back! I'm sure it is hard to be moving again, but it will be worth it all when you have finished your school. What type of job will you be looking for when you graduate?
Sweetnell, hope your DH is feeling better today. Great Audrey is getting to go to camp that will be a nice break for her. Hope DS's hours get picked back up soon!
You continue to care for yourself also; don;t let yourself get worn down!
We are off to Louisville again Friday to finish the deck at DS's #2. Next week we have three doctor appointments so we will be busy with all that. Take care all and have a good evening!

Nell, I hope all the scans come back with great news. School starts on August 27th. DH can only move me during his 7 day off. We'll leave on Tuesday and spend a couple of days getting the trailer like home at my new place and then come back home.
Cat, is it just me or are ya'll making more trips to town than usual? I hope you have a good week.
What type of job will you be looking for when you graduate?
I will be a clinical psychologist and hopefully working in the legal system quite a bit.
My neighbor brought his female puppy over today. We sat on my porch while the dogs played. It is nice! After an hour of chasing each other, Bonte has pooped himself out. He usually has so much energy, that nobody can stand him. lol It must be nice to have all that energy! lol
