2 lbs. stew beef
1 pkg. dried onion soup mix
1 can cream of mushroom soup, condensed
1 4-oz can mushrooms (optional)
2/3 cup water

Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Cut stew meat into bite-sized pieces and put into a large roasting pan. Add other ingredients and mix well. Bake uncovered for 3 hours and do not peek. Serve over rice or noodles.

Sounds really good! When DH and I were first married my favorite dish was one very close to this. I used round steak cut into 4 servings and sprinkled the dry onion soup on top. Mixed cream of mushroom soup and about 1/4 to 1/2 cup water together and poured on top. Then cooked on a simmer about 2 hours. Really good and I bet yours will be just as good; I like the extra mushrooms added to it! Thanks for sharing!
