Does anyone have a copycat recipe for BW3's (Bufalo Wild Wings) Southwestern Ranch dip that come with thier deep fried garlic mushrooms?

I went in there tonight and hoped to buy a bottle of it, since they sell thier sauces by the bottle, but they don't sell the dip by the bottle.

I'd love to be able to make my own!

Yummys Girl, I looked through my recipes and couldn't find that particilar recipe. I am not sure but one of the dressings that I use is either "Marie's" or "Litehouse" Jalepeno Ranch dressing.
As I look at the date posted I am sure you must have found something by now....Colleen

:) Yummys girl, I saw your posting on low carb and diabetic stuff. I need to lose a lot of weight and my best freind, Don , was just diagnosed with diabetes and he has COPD as well.
I definely need a life style change. I do have two part-time jobs. One is cleaning a 14,000 sq. ft. building five days a week. You would think that would be enough exercise to lose weight, but I guess that my body is just used to it. I have gone to some diabetic websites but they seemed kind of confusing or they had large charts listing the glysemic (??) index which was hard to understand. anyway I'd love some help if you can find the time. Hi Colleen

I still didnt find the copycat recipe I am looking for. I'm still searching.

As for the diabetic diet. I'd be glad to help and answer any of your questions. Feel free to post here and ask, or PM me. Or, if you want, I can PM you my email address and we can email, if you prefer that.

For most diabetics, the most effective diet is low carb. Carbs turn directly into glucose in your body. So limiting the amount of carbs you take in helps get and keep your glucose in control, and also has the added bonus of helping you lose weight. Some foods that are higher in carbs are low on the glycemic index, so they have less effect on your blood glucose. For an exaple, while both are high in carbs, potatoes are higher on the glycemic index that sweet potatoes. So sweet potatoes effect blood glucose less than a regular potatoe. Low glycemic foods take longer to break down in your body, therefore, they effect your glucose less overall. Of course, everyone's body is different, so what you can eat tends to vary a bit from person to person.

The way of eating I follow is low carb. Although I am now more at a maintenence level of the weight loss, since I am almost to my goal weight. So I am eating more carbs per day than I used to when I first started. Still though, I eat a limited amount of carbs per day.

Let me know if you have any questions, or what type of info you need. If you'd like I can direct you to an excellent website as a resource for low carb dieting. There are so many really nice people there and many are diabetics as well. They have a great set of forums.

Feel free to PM or post any questions you have. I know how hard it can be, so I'm always happy to help and offer any info I can.

Thanks for trying, Cat Lover. I was in there the other night and seen them filling up the little cups. They were pouring it out of a big white jar with no label. Needless to say, that didnt help me any at all.

I did find a jarred sosthwestern dip at the grocery store, put otu by tostitos. Havnet tasted it yet, though

I did talk to my niece on the phone again last week--- she said theirs has no label on the bottle either! Makes me think it is something they have made for them and really don't want the recipe out there! We'll keep trying! Anyone else come across it some way?
